So, I've just completed an hunt&destroy mission against a pirate lord (elite Anaconda) while using my Asp. Hard facts: I've destroyed a ship that at stock value costs 150 mil and I've "gained" 190k credits in reward while "losing" 240k credits in repair and rearm costs and risking close to a million credits in insurance. Hard question: Why would I want to do that again?
YES YES YES I know Asp is not the best ship for the job I should have used a Viper or Cobra. Been there done that wanna try something different.
And here comes the real issue, in my opinion, the grind vs fun ratio is heavily inclined towards the grind in this game. I'm well aware that all MMO games have a grind aspect but I feel that FD didn't quite nailed a good balance between grind and fun. I like the game but man I need to tread carefully or I'll bankrupt myself in a heart beat. Yeah, I know, efu casual!
YES YES YES I know trading makes it easier but I don't trade (bug*er off, you're not my wife to tell me that I have to trade).
TL;DR Please FD stop being such scrooges and let the credits flow so we can enjoy and experiment with the game!
edit - Accepted a hunt the pirate mission 13K credits (+some bounties in remote locations) on route back to hand it in, a novice sidey (lasted 15 sec) managed to interdict me and my submit wasn't prompt enough => 17k repair costs from interdiction damage.
