[/RANT] What the? [Rant]

Yea that sidewinder really shouldn't of survived, let alone kill you!
Hopefully you'll get your credits back, others have.
.
I agree with Perjoss though, if you find trading so boring after a while then if I were you I'd just stop doing it 4 a bit, or vary the routes, or try some rare trading/gallivanting around the galaxy ;) ........... or buy a python, strip it out & ram every NPC sidewinder you see coming out of a station! :D

Yeah i got hit by an NPC Orca yesterday, did a little damage to both our ships but to get insta popped while docking from a sidewinder by a player. Ive never had this happen before and hopefully it was some totally random freak occurrence, but if this is an actual thing that can be replicated, Id imagine online will be a pretty sparse place

Man I wish I had the disposable time to sit and watch Netflix while trading in ED...

Last couple of days before i go back to real life grinding... actual work.

Was the sidewinder packed with explosives.? But to be serious, why the rush, the games only 2 weeks old, why rush to the biggest ship that quick and have nothing to aim for! I know you can say you just wanna get there as quick as possible to do other stuff, but what's the point in bounty hunting, pirating for effectively no reward other than what would just be more cash!

It seems to me that you're just burned out quickly on the game, because you've spent way too many hours playing it. You appear to be playing it like there's an endgame that you're trying to reach, there isn't.

Might I recommend that you take some time off from the game, do something else for a change. ED isn't the kind of game you play and play and play, hours on end, trying to reach the end, there is no end, it will go on and on and on, ad infinitum, until you drop dead in your chair. When you return to playing, play an hour or two a day/night, just to have a bit of enjoyment, break the day up, but don't sit for hours per session, and let your life waste away playing.

There's no competition, except that you set for yourself, with yourself. If you're trying to beat the game, you'll lose, the game is unbeatable, it's not that kind of game, the best you can do is better your own personal skills. Set goals for yourself, something to achieve, then work towards that goal, slowly, set smaller goals along the way, achieving smaller goals feels great, and even greater when you reach a larger goal. There's a sense of accomplishment when you do it this way.

As much as it would be nice to be first to Elite in anything, and perhaps win the cash prize, is it really worth it? If trying to hard to get there is ruining the game experience for you, only a couple of weeks after release, I think new priorities need to be set. Money isn't everything in life, a game is supposed to be for entertainment and breaking up the monotony of work and shopping, and general life. Don't worry so much, just play to have fun, and move on. Good luck Cmdr.

Just my .02 credits worth
