Engineers Rapid Charge or Specialised Shield Cell Banks against Feedback Cascade Railguns?

See title: AFAIK there is only a time frame of some five seconds to interfere with deploying shield cell banks by firing a feedback cascade railgun. Actually there are two ways of modifying shield cell banks

- rapid charge shortens spin up time while increasing boot time and duration of charge
- specialised shortens the boot time but seems not to increase the spin up time

I've searched throughout the internet but have not found yet if either boot time or spin up time are the vulnerable phase for feedback cascade.

Could someone please shed some light on this issue?

Thanks and °>

Feedback cascade *only* has effect during the 5 second 'spin up' of an SCB charge. This spin up time can be reduced by up to 30%, (therefore 3.5 sec) by the rapid charge SCB mod. So to answer your question, this is the mod to go for if you want to combat feedback cascade. The attacker has a smaller window of opportunity to hit.

HOWEVER. This mod comes with a significant downside: an up to 30% reduction in the duration of the SCB. This results in less MJ being delivered to your shield. So I advise many rolls to get the duration as close to the 10% upper bound as possible.

Yeah rapid charge. The best way to beat cascades is to fire your banks early when they aren't expecting it. As soon as your shield hits the threshold at which your SCB will charge it to 100% fire it, don't wait. People generally start spamming rails near shield collapse.
