Raptor kinda anoying?

Hi,
just kinda half finished my second Island an i got or lets say had 4 Raptors but it seams that fences are useless on them. i even tripple fence system from Hardsteal to Electrical fence and they still got out untill i sold them.
I don't think it should be possible to to escape an electrical fence when the power is on, does not make sense if they still do.

Haha, totally. The only reason they stay in their cage when they're not breaking out is because they have decided they don't want to.

After every storm they are out. Last storm they somehow managed to swap enclosures with the Ceratosaurus. I wish we had cctv so we could see how they do it ;)

Breed them as long is it is a few, otherwise they go nuts hahah, they like open space and forests at the same time so their enclosure needs to be relatively big.

I have found that in order to keep raptors (without them constantly escaping and killing visitors) you need to keep their comfort in the blue area at all times. They wont try to escape if they are comfortable.

I found dilos ok - bred them on tacano as I didn't want hassle with raptors. Of course then I bred Tsintaosaurus as my herbi - big mistake - they apparently like larger groups and love to break out of cages, so that set me back a while ;)

Dracorex has been my pain. They're picky little gits and quick to get annoyed if things aren't right.

I often have a dracorex escape.

I keep my dinosaurs happy and in what is now a 14 hour long session not a single one attempted an escape.
I guess you are just a crap keeper. :p

Same boat here ahahah, raptors are really difficult to contain, Heavy fences electrified but they easily broke it. I'm non quite sure about what to do with them. Maybe i'll try to double the fences, if it helps. At worse I replace them with dilophosaurus

I've kept them just fine in the first island, second island made the pen more or less the same and they hate it!

You need to have at least three of them, give them enough goats and balance the grassland and forest just right. Then they're fine even behinf the flimsy standard electical fence. :)
edit: Oh and they need room. An enclosure at least twice as big as the ones that were there (on the second island)

I almost had no problems with escaping dinosaurs, but the Raptors came and that changed. I created three of them, placed them in a spacious cage, with live food, water, field and forest equally distributed. And yet, every hour they broke the fence and escaped. I thought it would work for an electric fence, but it did not help, they kept escaping. Until they managed to bankrupt my park in Isla Muerta, I got about 600,000 debt, because of only three Raptors.

I think they are quite aggressive because they have enough attack genes.

And taking advantage, can anyone give me any tips to help me get my bankrupt park back?

I think that was the problem actually, I was cooking up a 3rd but it didn't make it and by that point I couldn't afford another in time. I'll try and balance out the grassland and forest when I'm more awake haha they've got tons of room tho.

The only problem on the second island are the storms. They can reduce their comfort considerably. I had one close call with them, but if you have a ranger jeep ready to repair the fence immediately, nothing can surprise you.
From my experience, though, I'd probably advise you to only have one carnivore enclosure on that island with whole length of the fence easily accessible. :)

Well, you can always restart the island from the menu. That would probably be easier. And only breed small, calm dinosaurs until you have a comfortable money cushion. :D
