This is an absolute surprise, because Frontier confirmed they didn’t have any current plans in the past to include them because these raptors were unique special individual characters.

But then again, “currently” as they always say in statements don’t always mean “never”, keep that in mind. They never said they “won’t ever” or “will never” add these or those, or say they won’t without the “current/currently” in their statements about adding the raptor squad designs or the other stuff they eventually added overtime. It really all depends on the circumstances. BestInSlot in the video above doesn’t regard this further, so here you have it from me instead.

With these “new genes” coming soon, on the other hand, I’m absolutely curious as to how this will work. Will it have the same function as the “legacy skins”? Will they be different from the current cosmetic gene slot and have their own? And if so, I wonder if you can customize these Raptor squad skins with the current cosmetic genes? I can only imagine what the Blue skin would look like with the Arid (sandy), the Steppe (yellow-brown) or the Vivid (purple) gene turned on.
These are just unanswered questions I want to leave out for anyone to consider wondering about until then.

I guess with the new legacy skins that are going to be introduced, they decided to throw in the jurassic world raptor skins all the same. I have a feeling that these skins will not be meshable with the current skin genes (arid, steppe, vivid etc). They are still portrayed as unique character skins as their selling point. Great news is that tomorrow will be release day, so we could finally try out some new content! I am also interested what update 1.11 will bring, as this may come with an update since we are now in update 1.10 and 1.12 will be alongside RTJP on december 10th.

Frontier has a tradition of skipping over the 1.11 version of their games and going right to 1.12. So I don't think there will be a 1.11. I also doubt this DLC will be enough to cause a new revision of the game.

I didn't. Couldn't cope with the Wu sacrilege... and I planned to get Claire's, but the fact that paleoplants were restricted to feeders and greenhouse alone and not made available for landscaping seriously lowered it's value to me. Neither were worth what were charged.

Maybe this black friday, if they get a really decent discount...
