While I was waiting for my upgrade I started pressing tabs I wouldnt normally press and discovered this

Whod have thunk?

I read it and it says that it is a live manual and will update with the game. Sadly it seems that while the game may not be dead, the manual certainly is.

I wonder what else I might find.

Oh look, in another tab Beyond is refered to as the third Season of Elite. I thought we had left the seasons behind? This is all very confusing. Preparing my files seems to be taking a long time time.

I'd forgotten about the manual. I have a copy somewhere from long ago.

I have a friend that plays, but never visits forums or Reddits - that sort of thing should really be kept up to date for the "offliners". :)

Pfft, as a true son of my nation I never read manuals, do things myself, break it, wonder why it's not working, figure it by myself, fix it. Manuals? Those are put away the moment I see those.

The failure to provide an updated manual is an absolute disgrace.

I have been banging-on about it for yonks to no avail.

F D response on this subject is the sound of silence...

Like some sort of loser, I love reading good manual - tv's / cars / games / crisp packets, anything.
i think the original elite one got me in to the habit.

If Frontier were working on a new version of the manual, they'd probably have intended it to cover up to 3.3 and the new paid content.

Once the delayed parts of 3.3 and the equally delayed paid content have been released, we'll be in a better position to judge if Frontier have any continuing interest in the manual, or if we should just write it off as abandonware.
