Rare Good Indi Bourbon

Last many times I've dropped into epsilon indi and found nothing.

Are we sure it's not illegal goods now

Most annoying cos I only run a small cargo for rares (32) and only need epsilon if the others in the area didn't give out as much

Correct. If a goods is classified as potentially illegal under some forms of government, and the station changes hands by war to a government that considers it illegal, then the rare goods disappear from view. They still "exist" in the game, but the only way to find them under such circumstances is they will occasionally still be found in NPC cargo holds.

It can happen the other way, too. Pavonis Ear Worms appeared in Delta Pavonis after the government there switched to anarchy.

i still think it is really funny that players complain about "your actions don't have any effect in this galaxy", while rare goods proof otherwise - a very "visible" effect of how the background-simulation affects daily gameplay, and how you can have a "direct feedback" ingame.

It'll never be good enough for some people, there will be those complaining that it ruins their trading and so shouldn't be happening!

*disclaimer* I'm not suggesting anyone involved in this thread so far would.

Haha, ouch. Yeah this sort of thing certainly keeps you on your toes, especially for me as I spend months at a time out in the void and when I come back sometimes whole areas seem to have changed.

"Pavonis Ear Worms"
The hell? xD

actually they are called "pavonis ear grubs" ... the commodity description is amazing. small creatures which look like walking ears, and attach them to your flesh .... used by slavers to mark and rule their slaves.
