Rare goods allocation spawning

Agreed. Hugely frustrating. Almost as frustrating as having to play the game to actually earn credits and upgrade ships. Everything should be available instantly, including triple Elite ranks.

Sarcasm aside: you're honestly missing the point of the game if you're just sitting around waiting for rares to restock. First, it's boring. Second, that rares route wasn't found by you in-game (I assume), it was likely find after a bit searching on this forum or another forum - so no real trading or exploration skills were required/utilized. Third, if you sprint through easy-mode credit earning and ships you'll burn out faster than an ice cube melts on the surface of Sol (OK, maybe a bit slower).

Slow down, dude. Stop and smell the roses; see the sights; play the game as intended: explore and find stuff on your own. Skill and a bit of effort make the fruit of your labour much more rewarding. If you don't slow down you'll be bored of this game in no time. Earning credits and getting into bigger ships is EASY in this game if you simply and mindlessly follow others' predefined path to riches.

Fnd a side trade to fill the 10mins while the rares respawn, I've got a side trade for almost every rares stop, ie.:

Waiting for Utgaroar eggs or Tanmark tea? Take the best agri goods and head to Apam Napat, bring the high tech stuff back, on 100tons you've just added 200k to your profits and you're back in 10mins...with fresh rares witing for you. You'll get max allocation in 1 trip 90% of the time.....and see a lot more of the galaxy, Apam Napats gas giant ring are very beautiful this time of year.

Time is pleasure with a spaceship, but even if you believe that time is money......why are you sitting waiting for respawns? Get out there and haul your ASP. :)

I think you meant well, so I'm going to take the best from your reply, even though you've made sweeping assumptions about my approach and playstyle.

First, the rare routes I use I pioneered mostly myself in the first few weeks of playing the game, after setting up my home base in the Lavian sector. After finding the Wiki, I used their rare systems list to search for them and then created spreadsheets after going on exploring trips, working out the best order for my circuits. I now have several such segmented routes, economised for a Cobra sized ship and for an Type6 or Asp.

So, no, I haven't been shortcutting to speed-grind my way to some endgame. I play for fun, and do various activities from bounty hunting, to salvage, and rare trading. In fact, I chose to stick with rare trading to keep it interesting as a roleplay, rather than trade regular goods short distances in bulk with bigger ships. I've also deliberately restricted myself to sticking to the cheaper range of ships for now even though I've amassed enough credits for the more expensive ones.

My frustration with this waiting for rares is because it's another mechanic in the game that inhibits my freedom to play a certain way, for an arbitrary reason. In this case, I want to specialise as a low volume long range rare trader, on those days where I fancy a break from bounty hunting or whatever else I do.

Gah! Completely forgot to mention that. Nice catch Kosmetas.

Definitely do this B. That 50 is a guaranteed amount every time, as part of a CG reward. No waiting needed, just dock and load.

Been doing this the last few days along with a rares round-about between the Diso area and the Altair area, I've gone from 'penniless' to 'merchant'.

Nice 2.3 mil run with the exception of Sanuma Dunyach gateway.... 6000ls from jump in, averaging 72 minutes total route 36 minutes for upper/lower.

Correct but the Sanuma system is very high tech so only go there when upgrading. But I am still expermenting with route planning.

When I'm waiting for my full Onionhead allocation, I usually do some salvaging or run a few jobs for the Farmer's Union.
As long as my credits, reputation or influence of my allies is ticking up in some way or other, it's all good :)
