Engineers Rare goods selling at a loss at Black Hide (The Dweller)

Just took a trip to the Dweller at Black Hide to sell a load of rare goods from the Lave cluster and they're all selling at a loss :(
Anybody else experiencing this?
Is this working as intended? ie a deliberate nerf from FD.
Is the Dweller's market only interested in buying particular goods?

Buyer's market.
People want what he can do, he'll accept stuff in return for influence, just don't expect high prices.

It seems reasonable to me. The rare commodities only have value to those that want them. Usually that demand correlates with distance.
But the Engineers are different. They don't necessarily want the stuff no matter where it came from.

I always thought the idea of rares value changing dramatically with distance was false and immersion breaking anyway - especially as they have a guaranteed spawn at known locations.
Its more like an OP trading mechanism than a genuine rare article market.
I took silver to The Dweller from the same system. He seems to like it and gives about 400Cr profit per ton. Not much, but easy.

Mining works well if you don't mind it, I found that gives a great increase as it's all profit.
