Rare goods

Some of the engis require rare stuff. Here is my question. If me and a friend are both doing it and i am done. Can i buy them, jettison them for him to pick up ... wait for it to refresh and get more so he only has to make one trip?

well im buying the kamitra cigars. It always gives me 7 then about 10 minutes later 8. Then i wont get anything else until i drop.

Yep, you can totally do this.
It only blocks you buying more if they are in your cargo.

That sounds about correct - there is a limit on the number of Rare Goods you can have. Once you reach that cap, no more will restock until you get rid of some.

Of course, you can coop with someone to have them drag more out for you. Or you can drag more out for someone else.

I approve of this thread - Delicious Teabagging! :D

If you want to avoid fines while jettisoning, then make sure you have left the no fire zone outside the station. If you're not in a wing, make sure to abandon the goods (not jettison) or they will count as 'stolen'.

Collector limpets also make things much easier.

During Rare Community goals, some players will work together to help eachother out. It's a lot quicker and more fun than doing it alone.

Was that term a forum thing? Do that many people honestly not know the other meaning :-/
In this context, tea bagging is where a group of commanders load up another ship and that ship then delivers the goods.
Generally people take turns loading or being loaded though some people only load or whatever.

I am aware of the less savoury meanings but this is E.D. NOT a FPS.

Yeah for sure, people have been using that term on the forum for a while. Just always seemed a bit strange to me, never heard it used outside of that other meaning

Indeed sir, you have discovered the hobby of TeaBagging, and i wish well for you in your endeavours! Drop me a PM if you want a reply that makes a bit more sense otherwise than this rambling monologue ;) o7

PS
:- There is nobody in the group of TeaBaggers around Teaka that misuse the term TeaBagging; it has evolved a different angle for its use in Elite that is different from 'dropping down' on somebody in a FPS; here it is a collaborative and altruistic way of having a social laugh with friends, whilst helping out players that need a hand / or helping to progress certain CGs with the use of rare-goods.

Its use here holds the utterly opposite emotion to its use in FPS games, and I encourage anyone who is intrigued to check out the links in my signature, as there is nothing in there that will mock you nor be weird etc., this is just an extra way to play certain game-aspects, that ultimately led to a new player faction arising in the Teaka sector of space - come join if you want to have a laugh; I have never regretted being a TeaBagger, and as my other ship name says, I 'will do something ....' - [now you have to find out what it says right?!], or just come and have a look and try to make us laugh too, as we enjoy it as much :)

Cheers all,
The Hat :)

Just a note to OP - if you're not in a hurry, you can monitor the rare systems and wait until they go into Boom state. Production of rares is increased greatly during boom and you can usually get the 50 tons required in 1 or 2 visits.
