I've decided to throw this together roughly in a journal because I am learning about Rares as I go along.

29/03/16 - Lave Loop

Patsy is parked outside Ridley Scott, Zaonce, while I run around the Lave Loop collecting Rares.

Lave - Lave Station
Uszaa - Claus Dock
Leesti - George Lucas - has the best shipyards of the group
Orrere - Sharon Lee Free Market
Diso - Shifnalport
Zaonce - Ridley Scott

Possibly other commanders turning up later for a party, possibly tomorrow, rl and timezones permitting!

Currently filling Patsy up with Leathery Egss from an AspEx. Drop the Eggs to Patsy, then take all the other Rares to another destination, and bring some Rares back, then repeat.

I shall update with the routes as they develop. There is already a nice 'Dumbell' Rares route with a double end from Lave Loop to Whichhaul and back, so that and other nice routes I will be exploring and logging over the next couple of days!

Any commanders wishing to join me please do! I would recommend an AspEx or similar, use Patsy as a bank tank, then fill your hold and run the rares to the other end!

Couple of commanders showing up and giving Eggs to Patsy.

Patsy will be running an Egg exchange. For every egg you donate to Patsy we will reimburse you 1 Painite, 2 Paladium, or 3 Gold for each one (at a later date, we don't have the ships to do it all now!).

It's all being recorded on a spreadsheet. :)

There is an open speed-run competition that can be entered! :)

Otherwise, we are collecting the eggs in one basket.

And also figuring things out on the fly - particularly ways for commanders to make some creds with a 2 ended run!

It has - but don't 'trust' it! ;)

I am putting v2 together, as a couple of fundamental issues have been raised. Although it still does work because relative distances are mainly correct, if you try to match it visually on the galaxy map it WILL turn your brain inside out!!

Some really good routes out there - hoping to detail them further and reissues the rares Metro, with more attention to some individual routes :)

Patsy has also added Heike Ceremonial Tea to her Egg Exchange.

3 tons of Ceremonial Heike Tea for each Leathery Egg.

A couple of commanders have dropped by and donated an egg.

Each commander who does so will be eligible for drop of some goodies later! :)

Also some real world prizes, and permanent lifetime membership to the Leathery Egg Trading Company!

Patsy has collected 20 Leathery Eggs from various commanders!

We have also added to her current exchange commodities list. She has added Fujin Tea and Kobe Beef and some Bush Meat.

I'm not sure what's going on but I like it. These loops of rares are proving a great way of doing a bit of sight seeing and getting a nice discovery bonus too

We're finding the AspEx is perfect for Rares. It can jump from Lave to Heike and back without refueling! Fitting it with an ADS is also a very good idea.

We're gathering some really good data on Rares, and will be publishing it all here. In conjunction with the Rares Metro Map, and based on this week's data, the editor intends to produce some 'Editor's Picks' routes, with some nice double-ended routes, along with explanatory notes, hints, tips, ship loadouts etc.

There are also methods utilising multiple commanders to maximise the profits ALL ROUND!

Getting some nice momentum and data around these Rares...

I'll be away for few days, but back to the desk of the newly formed Leathery Egg Company when I get back :)

I've always thought a multi-part CG could work really well, having to get the ingredients together for a meal would be a way to do that! Particularly if that actually created another NEW Rare when combined. Once a commander has sold 1 of each of the ingredients 1 ton of the new Rare becomes available. THAT New Rare then has to be taken somewhere and forms the basis of a second concurrent CG! :) Not asking much I suppose!

But even just a basic CG that wants more than one Rare, particularly if they are needed in certain ratios... that would be something different, and be interesting to see how the mechanics develop.
