Can someone explain? What are they and how do you find them?

I'm 6 hours in now, still pretty much just wandering about learning the game / controls.

Only made like 30k in trading /missions though! Kinda baffled when seeing posts of people talking about making millions per run...

try going to eranin and picking up some whisky then fly to lave and sell it where you can pick up some brandy to sell at chi eridani get some marine paste and sell it at chi eridani

there are more to find but these should start you off.

you can earn a bit more if you take the goods a few jumps further but this route provides a good chunk of income

people make millions per run because they have huge cargo bays.

lakon type 9 has up to 400 tonnes of cargo or something

so on a run where you make 4k he makes 400k

ahhh, awesome yep that helps. Not gonna look at that list anymore though, rather stumble upon them myself (definitely trying to play the game without referring to the web for cheats)

Talking about how to effectively use rare commodities on the forum is not a cheat. It gives a player an insight as to how to proceed in the game. Otherwise why have a forum? If we are not about helping each other succeed at the game within the constraints of it's design then why are we here on the forum? A player has a problem being new to the game and cannot figure out docking. Is it a cheat to help him? Are more advanced issues such as rare commodities a cheat? No, they are not.

The forum is about coming together as a world wide community and helping other players excel at the game. FD knows this but messed up with someone posting an awesome trade route which will evaporate with 80,000 players going there. That doesn't mean that we globally cannot help other players enjoy the game as much as we do. That was their fault.

I for one will help any player with my knowledge with ED. Many others in all the multiple choices in ED will also help. Then the Forum becomes useful.
