Powerplay Rating 5 Salary

Good evening everyone,

I was wondering if anyone can help me with a quick question? I've been playing for a few months and am looking to getting into power play. I don't have much free time for the grind to higher ratings but I've been fortunate to save a bit from trading. I was thinking about fast tracking myself to level 5 (which costs roughly 100m I believe) and then using the subsequent salary of 50m to maintain my rating. I'd be happy to do this but I'm unsure exactly how the salary system works. If I was to fast track from level 2 to level 5 this week would I receive he 50m salary at the cycle reset on Thursday? Or would I have to wait another week for it? Also am I right in thinking that the number of merits you need to maintain your rating decreases each week for up to four weeks? Or would it cost 50m to maintain rating five every week? Cheers in advance for the help with this.

You are paid in arrears. So if you get Rank 5, you get the bonus to bounties, but not the salary until the following week.
What you are the next week does not change the salary granted the previous week.

Ah I see, thank you! So if I fast tracked to level 5 with Delaine his week at the reset I'd get the 100% reduction in bounty bonus and the 50m salary at the next reset? That makes sense. Grinding 5300 credits I the meantime shouldn't take that long in my Conda. Cheers for the help!

Cheers dude! I'm currently with the Emperor but I'm going to defect. Archon more my play style. Not sure how beneficial he bonus to fines and bounties will be in practice, but I love the idea of playing a pirate assassin.

good to have more people on board. when you join make sure you check out the kumo reddit page each Thursday for instruction on what we should be underminin, prepping, fortifying and expanding. it's important to follow this plans carefully so we can be at our most efficient. it's a tight team, and good teamwork is expected among the kumo crew.
