Rating workshop items from within the game.

Hiya, I've noticed that rating workshop content is currently not the most intuitive thing in the world and that is reflected in the amount of items on the Steam workshop with no 'star' rating. It takes an eternity for even the most popular items to get the requisite number of ratings to give people a visual idea of its quality (2,3,4, stars?)

Having to visit the Steam workshop, even from in-game isn't usually something anyone will bother to do so I suggest an easy 5 star rating visual aid on the in game item tab that will allow people to quickly rate anything they download. Speeding up the time it takes an item to get a rating will allow for much greater exposure for the better quality stuff.

Hope this is something you understand as I think this will encourage more and more people to create.

Thanks.

Hi.

Oh yes, a very good idea :)
I have items with 300+ subscriptions and only 7 ratings... (if the items would be very bad, I would at least get negative ratings [where is it])

So if it would be possible to rate in PC (main screen?), that would be amazing!

Yep, the one item I've put up has 420 odd subscribers and 16 ratings. Not a great percentage of votes.

People might say "Oh, but it's too easy for people to vote negatively" But it wouldn't matter because the sheer number of extra votes it generates would surely mean that if an item is good, it will succeed. Cream rising to the top and all that.

Plus, having a 5 star system is rendered useless if ninety percent of the items available haven't got any rating at all.
