It looks on paper to be on par with the Vive and Oculus. It will not be as user friendly. I plan on getting one. They are compatible with Steam VR so should work on Elite. Many of the major problems that plagued the original OSVR are supposed to be cleaned up in this new iteration.
Interesting - if it turns out to be decent, might pick one up to replace the DK2
The modular-ness looks excellent. See, for example, the LEAP motion add-on that lets you use your hands as controllers.
