With the latest updates to PC, and the efforts of Atari going more and more in opposite directions, I think its safe to say that there won't be another RCT. Its too bad Frontier can't adopt Chris Sawyer and RCT Classic [cool] So let us remember the good ol' days of RCT3!!!

And I wish I still had all the custom files for RCT2 to be able to open my "dreamland" park. I also made some custom objects as well. (as well as some obscure customs I downloaded that is 100% gone) So, it is a futile thing to be able to open that darn park. :(

I have a RCT3P multi-area park built on an edited map of Captain Blackheart's Cove that I was still fiddling with last year -- no custom content except for billboards, but I used those for area theming.

This is AMAZING but when does it get to the point where the game is too custom to be the game anymore. [where is it]

I always thought playing the game was to complete the objectives, and if your playing sandbox then your using a tool to express your creative and artistic abilities. Not that playing objectives isn't creative, but most people don't spends hours building custom objects in scenario mode. With the modular building tools we have in PC the game definitely feels more like an art set or toolset which will be even more true once we get custom scenery! Thats why we really need a scenario editor to balance things out [up]

The Villa Volta one though, IMO that doesnt seem like it was made in RCT3 at all lol

I think the Villa Volta one was made trough green screen or some other video editing technology[yesnod]. Ask Hs Designs![wink]Was his amazing creation i think[big grin]

Can't forget Fisherman's RCT3 Ghost Mine Ride...this was even a selection at some of those 3-D simulator rides that they used to have at shopping malls...

PSA: Take pictures of your parks and ride creations! I've been making RCT parks since the original came out and I don't have any saves or pics besides this one. It brings me lots of warm fuzzies seeing this pic and I look back wishing I spent some time documenting my parks(and other building games) with pictures. I've been documenting my Planet Coaster parks with pics/vids a lot and I know 10+ years from now I'll be looking back at them just as we do now with RCT1-3. Nostalgic memories are the best! Is it just me or do the RCT3 parks seem bigger than PC? Or is the biggest PC land size about the same? I wish there were a way to disable skirt collision to be able to build coasters over it beyond the white dotted line. The station would be within the park border but part of the coaster would go over the skirt. Also PC flat rides seem to take up more room than their RCT3 counterparts. Maybe it’s because the bases are so big. I also miss the vehicles and buses from RCT3 but people made vehicles on the workshop.

Woah It was such an amazing game. Just think of the age and how far we and other players pushed it to the limits.
I think the water looks better than in Planet Coaster, therefore I will continue building water rides with RCT3.
