RCT 3 PC RCT lawsuit now in England's House of Lords.

Well all things considered.

Lets hope Atari wins it.

Actually as a fellow artist of different sorts, I am routing for Chris to win. It seems Atari cooked the books on him from what has been mentioned so far and the last thing I like watching is any artist deprived of their fair royalties for their work. The heck with Atari, besides any corporation whose logo flips me the bird and abandons me as a customer is not worthy of my money as a loyal customer. How about you?

I wonder how the case is now progressing along? Perhaps we need to get more coverage of exactly what is happening here.

Its pretty bad. Unfortunately by the looks of it we wont see any new Atari or CS RCT games for a while as its been a pretty long time since the actual lawsuit started
by the way, first post here.

That is the link to the latest update and it looks favorable for Chris to win. As a fellow artists, I cannot stress how important it is for Publisher's to treat talented individuals as a goldmine rather than a cash cow to be tossed away.
Now I don't know all the particulars of this, but if that is Atari's stance, it wreaks. Farnkly if Chris had Frontier do a demo to help sell the platform, Atari should have been thanking him, rather than stiffing the guy.

Honestly, folks, I hope Chris does get his money due him...period. Either way, this thing seems to be winding down pretty fast now, and someone will finish it up fairly quickly.

The sad thing actually is that while Chris was hurt by this, think of the many folks and their families who lost jobs because of it, and even worse than that, the millions who have been blatently ignored. That's why I say the heck with it all, TPB3D and full steam ahead. The future belongs to those willing to exercise it. A new quote for 2007....ye gotta love em.

Why did Atari have to stink up such a good franchise? I have always been behind Chris and hopes he gets what is his. RCT is his baby, his creation, and it's a shame that it had to be butchered with such a nasty lawsuit.

Yes it was. Unfortunately it got ugly and most of us had to suffer, hence why "Theme Park Builder 3D" and "Thrillville" became a reality and don't forget the merging of sorts between Virtual Rides and No Limits in a race to be like RCT3.

My friend it is indeed very sad because the franchise had tremendous potential and they also had a world marketplace to themselves. Many blame Frontier but I don't. Rather I directly blame the corporate musical chairs that led to all of this by Atari's misaligned board of former execs. We became the victims but no more! Several new options are on the way, aren't going away any time soon and will continue to grow at least on our part and end of things. Genie's out of the bottle and Open Source software has caught on big time. Even Microsoft's Windows system is being engineered at reactos.org check it out. Runs most of MS software and it is open source and so is our own game. As for Thrillville I wish Frontier well with what they have and hope they will continue to grow it. As for RCT3 the user community has been the only life keeping it alive otherwise it would have croaked a long time ago.
