RCT 3 PC RCT3 Antivirus issue

Hi,

I recently installed RCT3 back onto my laptop after a hard-drive upgrade. I have had the game on my laptop for years prior to this with no issues. The install went fine with no problems. No updates to the game yet. The auto-updater hasn't worked for me in years and I have always did the manual update. Auto-update always says the game is up to date when no updates have been installed. Anyway, after install I proceeded to start the game. I wanted to make sure all was well. My norton 360 lit up and stated it had blocked a (trojan horse cmdlineext03.dll) I think I remember reading something about this years ago but dont remember for sure. I read this a securom issue with RCT3 and not a real trojan horse but I want to be sure and would appreciate any feedback.

I've read something about this too, but I believe the solution to that problem was to disable norton 360..??

Reading online it looks like this is the case, to be sure you can check with Securom (www.securom.com) themselves.

Thanks for the replies. Mr Brookes, I have sent a support email to securom but have yet to hear back from them. I am going to send a follow up email tonight. I have spent some time looking around online as well. Cant find a straight answer. Some say its nothing to worry about, others say its a legit virus. Dont know what to think at this point. But, I would like to find out for sure. Ran all the usual virus/spyware scans with no hits. Hope to hear back from securom sometime soon. Thanks again.

Don't waste your time with Securom. Just go on Norton, and add a exception to wherever that .dll file is.
