RCT 3 PC RCT3 or Thrillville

Well I have just been playign the Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 Demo, and it kinda looks fun, but I see a Thrillville game here too...

Whats the deal, are they similar, and Thrillville is a frontier licence I see some chatter about it...
Could someone get me up to speed on this ?

They are two different games. RCT3 is a PC game that focuses on building a park. You have a sandbox mode that allows you to build a park from scratch, as well as a number of scenarios for more structured gamesplay.

Thrillville is a console game that focuses more on the park experience than management, although management is a part of the game. However you can interact more with the rides and games (as well as play the games in multiplayer) as well as chat with any of the park guests.

I like the idea of fps mode, but also the idea of building a park from scratch, I guess I will wait till a few more reviews come out so I can decide if the management side is up to the level I want.

Thanks Michael

RCT3 has FPS mode....well it has free look. The only thing it dosn't do is automatically lock onto the peeps (but it dos lock onto coasters - coastercam)

I think you will like RCT3 far more if you have a powerful PC. It has expansion packs too.

It has some bugs, the frame rate isn't good, even on powerful computers, but it's a future classic, and it'll run great on the next gen Pcs probably. People will still be playing it in 10 years time - just right now, the hardware dosn't exist quite yet to play it at it's best, and the gameplay is lacking compared to RCT2, but it's still a lot of fun.

Well honestly as of this writing, if you are a PC guy, than the only real game in town of this type is RCT3, and I still would highly recommend you buy it, the expansion packs and than visit a number of sites and download the 3rd party scenery, some of which blows  Frontier's stuff away...ooops :D sorry for the pride bash Michael, that wasn't my Braben Shot (B.S.) you know, but some thrid party scenery is really awesome.

As for Tillville, I would say if you have a PS2 it is different and new and probably wouldn't hurt to support ol Georgie Boy' Lucas too. After all, if he was able to get kneee deep in the RCG platform with his Stah Wahs gang, than we gotta help the old chap out.

Besides, you do want to continue to see more future Braben, and Brookes Shots...what would the RCG world be without em
