This is something that has been bothering me a whole lot lately. NPC dialog in this game can be utter trash. NPCs send you direct messages like "Reporting in, high value target acquired, engaging" as if you are their boss. Or Police will send you a direct message like "Backup has arrived" while you are in the middle of murdering some innocent powerplay npc.
Or friendly power play npcs. Especially those aligned to the same power. They send you messages like "Useless dreg" or "Gah you're useless to me! Get out of my way." Even to an neutral commander, these dialogs feel out of place. You would think (with the exception of a certain power) that these npc's wouldn't talk like petty thugs and would try to maintain some level professionalism. It's feels even more out of place when you are the same faction as the npc. Why would an Aisling Guardian be so hostile to a tier 5 supporter of Aisling, or a federal agent towards a supporter of their power? It's especially hilarious when you are undermining and you get a message from an allied npc like "You don't belong here. I'll leave you alone but watch yourself." Like come on. We are literally allies who are both here to do the same exact thing, you think an O7 would be more appropriate!
Everytime one of these dialogs pop up, it ruins immersion for me and reminds me that I am simply playing an unfinished and unpolished game and not actually participating in a real living galaxy.
(ps, sorry if this post was hard to follow, it's late and the sleeping medicine is starting to kick in)
