I keep hearing about the guardian this, guardian that.. ive already been to farseer and gotten the blue print for the FSD and im searching for the MATs to upgrade and what not.. is there a difference between the FSD im currently doing with Farseer and the Guardian Blueprint?

Guardian FSD boosters give you extra fixed jump ranges that stacks with Felicity's extended engineered FSD jump range based on percentages.

The guardian booster takes up a internal module iirc. So it stacks with the upgrades you have to your FSD.

Farseer is an engineer - she can increase the range of your frame shift drive by up to 50%. You can check for more information here and here. I presume you're talking about the Guardian FSD Booster, which adds a specific amount of light years to your jump range.

To get it, you must go to a system out of the bubble, go to a Guardian Site on a planet and gather the required materials - then charge the pylons and get your blueprint, which you can hand in to gain access to the module. You might want to check out this guide. Good luck!

Check out this guide. I recommend taking a small ship with a good fuel scoop, at least one point defense to shoot down missiles which will be fired at you by Guardian Sentinels and space for one or two SRVs.

Carry on getting Farseer to upgrade your FSD. The engineered FSD makes it much easier to do everything else, including jumping out quickly to the sites you need to visit to get the bits & bobs to unlock the Guardian FSD Booster.
