Re-login into Settlement Vanishes all loot

Yes, I know there was an anti-relog fix or something to prevent abusive behavior...

BUT A BIG BUT!
This fix is lazy,
Storytime

I had to log out to do some house chores while in the middle of a restore power.
I manage to loot only the main power building, then had to quit the game for a little while.

When I came back to complete the mission, I turned the power on and proceed to explore the other buildings in the look of that sweet sweet LOOT.
The lockers at the power station were locked again, I opened and naturally, there were empty ( perfectly fine, I just looted that before having to step out of the game)
BUUUUUUUUT! To my surprise
After exploring the whole compound, not a single Lockers, Case had anything in it, there was not even data to be downloaded.

So yes your solution works, BUT its pretty bad and punishes us for taking time out of the game because of life. Absurd. For the love of anything, please implement fixes that are proper, not quick fixes like this.

Yeah this happens to me every time. If I log out when I'm in a settlement, whether I relog immediately or relog a day later, the entire settlement just has zero loot anywhere.

literally all you need to do to respawn the loot is go into supercruise fly a certain distance away then turn back and drop back into the settlement and all of the loot will respawn

Also happens if the game crashes, or loses connection.

At the bare minimum, the game should be able to detect whether you logged out and back in or the game exited non-cleanly.

There is this technology in computers called "Memory" it can do this thing, where it takes a certain "state" and stores it, kind of magically! then, you can restore to that state again later!!!

It's true! I've seen it done!

Maybe Frontier could look into this new technology and apply it here? so that, when you log out, only the things you took are gone?!?!?!?!?!?!

How amazing would that be>?~!

While this is not helping, this has been the case with E:D since start - always do your mission instance in one session, its state won't carry over to newly provided instance when you log in again.

Yep, except that did not happen until they implemented the quick fix for oddessey. :p

So I just started a mission, went around looting some stuff and then realized to finish the mission I needed a power regulator. I flew back to my home base, grabbed one from another mission and came back. The instance was reset with all the doors closed and the lockers were all opened, but there were items that I left behind from the first time still there and there was data there as well.

Maybe something changed with the last patch?

I think it was done on purpose to prevent relogski.

Supercruise "reset" settlement, so there is still a way.

I'm guessing it was using a simple "if you've just logged in, and you're within a settlement, we'll assume you've relogged for loot and not give you any".

This needs some work. Presumably Frontier knows when you were last online, and if it was some time ago, you probably had a genuine reason to log out. And relogging as an exploit wouldn't work anymore if you had to wait 10 minutes each time.

Like when you use task manger to kill it?

We are all still guessing that this is intended. It's possible it is. It's just as possible that it's not.

But the method of removing power regulator , leaving base -heading out around 30 klicks and then engaging a glide back to base is not working anymore as a reset mechanism ?

I would also advise watching Hawkes Gaming YT channel to be up with the latest and most efficient techniques for (ground based) mats gather . You don't necessarily have to go to his extreme relog wise ...but lots of up to date info as to the best places and ways to gather certain types of materials with or without missions .
