I would like to congratulate myself on a milestone in the game.. I have earnt my first 100,000,000... while a small figure in comparison to the bahillions I've seen people with, they too must have felt a little good when they got their first 100mill...

Just another 900 million to go

Well done. Keep going, but remember; the credits are just a means to an end, not the end itself. Use them wisely, and they will help you to open up so much more of the game (buying better ships and outfitting them to meet your needs).
My next build is going to be another python for mining. I'm waiting for my new friend to get back from outside the bubble to wing up on a mining/learning expedition.. void opals I seek so I can buy the entire fleet on my way to becoming elite..

Well done.
Got to be said there is never enough money, just like the real world.
Sounds like I'm a bit ahead of the OP on the cash front, I'm saving up for a corvette or a cutter, both are nearly 200,000,000cr each.
Suddenly all those high paying missions are making sense.
Good luck with fleet build up, I have a good range of ships parked all over, even if some of them are there just to tick the 'box'.
👍

It would be great to have a fleet of ships spread out at various stations in key locations and to build a really fast ship to go between. My combat rank is 0 And I don't think I'll ever get into the combat side of this game for many years to come so no combat builds.

Don't be afraid of combat, at least against npcs. The game mostly match opponents to your ranking and ship type. Those at Harmless, Mostly Harmless and Novice are pretty dull witted. You'll fly rings round them in a stock sidewinder. Be careful of the npcs in larger ships as they might carry big weapons and one shot can do a lot of damage.
Only other hint is use lots of chaff. If you fit no other utility module, go for that one.
Happy phew-phewing.

Old furniture has, over time, conformed to your shape so it supports you well, while new furniture still has the shape it was built with, so you, at first, conform to it but over time it 'learns' that you are boss, and it needs to conform to your shape!

That’s often true too.

But sometimes I wonder why I am so comfortable in the comfort of an old used armchair, that in the latest ultra modern sofa.

:D

Well done :)

I've been playing for years and I'm still not up to my first billion. As long as you are enjoying yourself, that's the thing!

Well, I did not think that I was someone's boss one day.

;)

The first 100 million is the most important. It allows you to buy and outfit 90% of ships any way you want to, do anything you want, anyway you want. :)

Jean-luc Picard: “The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in our lives. We work to better ourselves and the rest of humanity.”
I totally get that but fdev don't that's why they give credits for missions lol.. in order to better humanity we must be able to buy big badass ships to blow bad people up..
