Just a random idea.
Limpets are cheap throw away items, I get that, however, the main issue with then is cargo space, especially on small combat ships.
(Well THE main issue is how stupid they are, but ignoring that for a moment.. lol).
What would very very handy, especially since 2.1, would be to recall active Collector Limpets to your cargo hold.
Now this means, if you only have 4 tonnes of cargo space, (and 4 limpets), you can stay out gathering materials much longer, and without the faffing of manual scooping.
Limpets should still expire if left out too long, and be lost if you left them behind.
To recall a collector limpet, you could go to the modules tab, select the collector controller, and hit the option, "Recall Limpets".
Cargo hatch needs to be open, and it will recall any and all limpets belonging to you, that are not attached to anything. (Cargo, ships, asteroids, etc)
This could include Prospector, Fuel, and Hatch Breaker limpets that are stilll on route.
(They would be lost once they hit their target)
Alternatively, it could be done via the contact panel, on a per limpet bases, in the same way docking requests are sent.
Thoughts?
