I would fit out your python and head out to Robigo and do 1-2 hours of passenger missions instead.
Keeping 100-300 million around for a slush fund in case you don't like it would be handy for any other ships you may want to try later.
At 2k+ hours i don't use either ship, if that counts

I hereby state for the record that I paxtonnewt did hereby suffer a brain fart when i came up with the ridiculous idea of selling my python to "upgrade" to a t9. After many many comments and the best advice in a PM i will not be selling the python.

I'm still sorry for selling the Cobra (mk. III). I did it to buy ASPX and equip it for my first longer exploration trip. Now that I think about it, an insignificant ammount of credits and a loss of a significant ship. One day I will buy a new one and engineer it to perfection. Because it looks that damn good.

Put seriously, you can make money fast enough in a Python these days then buy a Type-9 when you have too much money to care.
