Reaching Epsilon Orionis?

As my first longish exploration I decided to take a round-trip of the seven main stars of the Orion constellation: Betelgeuse, Rigel, Bellatrix, Mintaka, Alnilam, Alnitak and Saiph. The nearest six stars were easy, but it appears that Alnilam a.k.a Epsilon Orionis isn't reachable in my 33ly range Asp. Eventually I gave up and returned to settled worlds, but at least I tagged my first Earthlike on the return trip

So, has anyone visited Epsilon Orionis? What sort of ship is needed?

depends as you didn't tell us what range is needed to get to it ?
I think a tricked out and svelt conda can do 38LY ish

That's because I don't know, and that's why I asked here on the forum.

what I meant was when you went as close as possible, then you couldn't go further, what range was needed for the next jump ?
hopefully someone will have done it and tell you, but if you get no joy here ,then post this same question in the general forums

How would anyone even work it out? can you find out the distance between two stars, if you aren't at one of them?

If you zoomed on both and took their co-ordinates, you could get a rough distance from the hypotenuse rule.

I did find a route that needs 37,33 Ly range - second to last jump is that long.

I'm heading out there in a stripped down 37.43Ly jump range Asp. I'll let you know the longest jump necessary.

Just arrived and I couldn't find a shorter route than the 37.33 long jump near the end.

Definitely more challenging exploring with only a 8T fuel tank! I've heard "main fuel tank drained" a few times.

Lol, no problems with that part, it was the follow up where I would have needed 0.01 LY more range...
But I was in luck, the 'Fuel Rats' rescued me.
