Ship Builds & Load Outs Reactive vs mirrored vs military

So my question is if I chose mirrored armor for example that would give me extra defence against lasers and does it give you the same defence against kenetic as military armor or is it less? If it gives you the same base kenetic defence as military grade armor what is the point of military?

See this test report from the Triadius site. It seems that Military armor is the best all-rounder.

The point of milspec is that is a great allrounder, while reactive and mirrored are specialised bulkheads for different situations.

EDIT; And no, military gives more kinetic resistance than mirrored, but less against thermal damage. Reactive is the other way around compared to military.
