Reality, well maybe just a little bit...

How can we add a little spice to the game, something that wouldn't overtax overworked Developers?

Real Time Trading:
Each Major Station has an Auction House.
Plonk your Goodies in there, set your Quantities and Reserve Price, sell for a Fee. (Straight fee not a percentage)
Economics for Power Play for real?

Roving Traders:
Show up with their Goodies, unannounced of course, Post on Station Message Board whatever they're selling, negotiate with buyer.

Hiring Guild Mercenaries:
Good Guys or Not, depends upon your need.
Maybe you want a couple of badass Guard Ships to accompany you in whatever task you have in mind, mining Void Opals or Carrying Exotic Goods quite a distance. Negotiate your fee, Guard Ship Shows up - and if their Combat Standing is high enough Human Pirates keep well clear. Be a bad guy and turn on your hirer, Guild repays all costs, you get expelled by the Guild and 10% of your Gross Worth deducted by Frontier and given to the Guild as reparation. Repeat offenders will be bankrupted...

A possibility of Real Time Reality and further immersion.

What makes this all work?
Warehouse space in your selected Home Station. (Realistically as much as you want to hire - space is only a quantity of containers after all)

Just a thought....
