Horizons Really annoyed at the horizons update

The OP is online now, looking at this thread, and hasn't responded to any questions.
The OP signed up to the forum 8 days ago but brings in the issue of 'no offline mode' which has nothing to do with playing Horizons but is guaranteed to get people who are still unhappy about that agitated.

But, there's no need to go jumping to conclusions about this being a TROLL post.
It's probably someone just trying to give us something to do while the servers are being updated.

well i may not be fully adept at expressing myself in a foreign language like english, but i didnt say it was a troll post, but asked if it was.. to me that is a big difference there. OP is very unspecific on what the issue is he is experiencing, other than it seem he dont want to play something he payed for(!?)

but when i jump conclusions i will say clearly what i think and it wont be a question, nor any suggestion of help no matter how small that is

Sigh, this must be one of those useless troll posts. OP, would you feel better if the following happened?

-Update to Horizons
-Log into the game, and have a popup saying "Here is a Planetary Landing Suite, and you can get a Vehicle Hangar here" Or better yet, if they just gave it to you just because you are special?
-Step out of the station and find a planet to land in without even having to hit Supercruise
-Find countless exciting POIs in this world.

Sorry sir, but this is, in a way a sandbox game... This was known from the start. Our galaxy won't have exciting stuff around every corner, it was known from the start of Horizons that you wouldn't be able to land on all planets as of now, and I could go on.

You will NOT be led by the hand in this game, if you didn't have the time to play a game like Elite in the first place, you shouldn't have bought it. Don't blame the developers for YOUR shortsightedness.

Because it seems that Elite Dangerous is skewed in favour of people who play it ALL THE TIME. When I BUY an update, I dont expect to have to keep roam about the galaxy trying to find a planetary something to make the update playable, thats just not on. Its a tactic to make people play MORE, when maybe they CANT. Some people do have important things they have to do and dont live in an elite dangerous universe.

I also havent got my promised 'midnight' paint job, and I cant get EITHER of these things even at Dalton Gateway, which according to the net is meant to have EVERYTHING.

So why do I have to play to get the results of an update I already PAID for? Who is making these silly decisions, like the one to reverse on kickstarter and make no offline version, someone seems to think they can do what the hell they like, and cause non enjoyment and ruin the game for everyone when they get time to play it.

Dalton gateway only stocked everything for testing purposes in the beta. The planetary approach suit is pre-installed on any ships you buy in the update but if you have one from before the update, I've yet to find a station that doesn't stock it. Planetary vehicle hangars are pretty easy to find, just head to a high tech system.

Elite Dangerous is at our conveiniece, not the other way around or it isnt a game anymore, its a job, or a chore.

Its not surprise here that people take what Ive said and twist it. I actually signed up to the forum months ago, I got Elite Dangerous pre launch also. So theres some lies for a start, still as I said, unsurprising. A good rule to get respect on forums, dont follow peoples lead by jumping on someone after other people do to try and gain respect, its called mob mentality and is way more childish that what you accuse me of. Im a hard working person who would like to play an update when I get it, not when I find the thing after scouring system after system doing the same <stuff>. Still freedom of speech is dead I guess.

Ill contact support about the midnight paint thing. Thanks to everyone who was helpful, Angus I DO have space for the planetary landing suite ( planetary vehicle hanger do I mean? ), I just cant find one, and Im looking carefully for sure.

Not trying to be a smartie on this...but make sure you are starting the game from the Frontier launcher (not Steam) AND you are choosing the Horizon's option. We had a decent number of folks looking for quite a while for parts and they couldn't find it because they failed to do both these items (and the landing gear DOES show up in the previous versions so that is not a signal you have the correct game started). With both these missing, it definitely sounds like you are starting the wrong game option, or have the wrong launcher.

As far as the Original Post goes...not to sure what to say. MMO's take time to play...they are a time sink...period. If you do not have the time to sink, either lower your expectations to what you will accomplish in the time you have available...or do not play MMO's.

What could be more important than living in an elite dangerous universe? But seriously, I was originally put off the update exceeded my systems capability. But in retrospect spacefaring (which I enjoy most) is quite the time sink in itself

OP, with all due respect, u came here pretty much raging urself, also remarking at others who play a lot more than you are getting some kind of preferential treatment (im one of those i guess, but i get NO better treatment than you do, but, i inform myself and can avoid most issues, that save me lot iof time and grief. so to even hint that it is so, well.. u get what u ask for, literally) and same time you gave no or little hints on what exactly was you problem, while same time repeating some of the most common myths about this game, fd, and players who like it

but, im happy to help if u ever need help, and say what the issue is instead of hiding it in accusations and rage etc

Don't expect to see the "Hanger" in the Buy list until you have selected something in OUTFITTING "Internals" to replace.

Well I have an empty internal slot on both of my ships, both 'size' or 'class' 1, and a cargo bay of size 4 on both ships, both empty.
I also have planetary flight module on both ships.
When I want to buy for the empty slot theres no hangar and hasnt been at any place yet.
If Im meant to expand the size of the empty slot how do I do this?
If Im meant to replace something ELSE I already have in the ship then what has a similar function?
All I get on the midnight paintjobs under 'livery' is a load of decals that I cant get for my cockpit, and NO paintjob.

I hhave an eagle and a sidewinder.

Still cannot see any planetary hangers anywhere. Am currenty on Dalton Gateway again, which is a pretty big station.

Right now Im thinking I need a support ticket, however the support system doesnt seem to have a category for this, only things that have been 'lost', like data, credits etc.

Any help is good.
