So, I purchased the game on the Frontier website, as a pre-order. Once it released I go to redownload the game only to be shown a "Elite Dangerous - Beta" link. It's literally the own option I have to download the game. I figured maybe they forgot to change that link's name, and it patches up to the latest.
I am able to get into the game and the first bug I run into:
- My Loaner pulse rifles don't fire, they make the sound, nothing comes out. Reported back in DEC 2014, supposedly fixed already
- Every time I pick up "Black Boxes" or "Rebel Transmissions" they immediately disappear from my cargo when I reach a station and I can't turn them in. No I wasn't scanned or anything, these turn ins are Anarchy stations
The list just goes on. I keep running into issues that when I look up on Reddit or the forums, these were found months ago and no one else seems to have these bugs.
My guess is I just have a jacked up game? Did I download the right files? Where was I supposed to get the full game if I'm just stuck on the latest "beta" release?
Really want to like the game, right now I'm almost out of money due to how many broken missions I've found and my ship is crippled. Is this what everyone faces (I didn't see it in the known issues) or is this just me? Happy to just start over if I have a bum build that I'm playing with due to having the wrong link.
