There must be some serious database maintenance going on to require 9 hours, surely a minor software patch doesn't require this length of change window.

I wonder what additional changes are being made to the back end support db's, or maybe the cosmetic / ARX changes really will need all that time to create new and update the existing tables.

The precise ritual for goat sacrifice, isnt something you can rush. The process of metaphysical preparation and eventual exsanguination is something that can take many hours to perform.
Im sure Frontier remembered this time to enchant the beast before the drinking of the bone powder tea, but not after the dance of the offered is performed.
They messed this up last time and for months now the BGS has been wack.
