Where I work, we have like 3 customers and we can do nothing right. Can't imagine 3 million with the same attitude.I'm glad I'm not on that team. Three million people waiting for you to not press the wrong button.
Perhaps they're going to TEST the update before they let us loose on it:
3 hours to install the update
10 minutes to find the embarrassingly obvious gamebreaking bug they introduced
2 hours 50 minutes to attempt to fix said bug and introduce more
10 minutes to give up
3 hours to reinstall the update

Hello Commanders,
Due to our internal testing of the September Update running longer than we expected, the game servers will be available at approximately 18:30 UTC. Should this change, we will provide further updates!
Thank you for your continued patience.
You can ask the mods to by 'Report'ing your post and asking them - but that's kinda cheating as then my amazing answer makes me look (even more) like an idiotI can't change the title of the OP sorry

Correction. 2.8.I'm pretty sure that 2.5 of those 3 million no longer care.
There must be some serious database maintenance going on to require 9 hours, surely a minor software patch doesn't require this length of change window.
I wonder what additional changes are being made to the back end support db's, or maybe the cosmetic / ARX changes really will need all that time to create new and update the existing tables.
