Really Really dam it a bug cost me 5.6 mil

So it turns out thare is a bug on outposts that if an npc is on the only med pad even if he launches you can not use that pad and the outpost will fire on you after a while. I was trying to dock at an out post kept getting request denied so I got really close to pad 3 and thare is a diamondback exporer sitting on it he eventually launched but proceeded to float 10m of the pad while slowly turning. Still getting denied request after waiting 10 min my courier contract is about to expire so I tried pushing him out the way (in hindsight a bad idea) but before I got close I take fire and my battle python that can take 5 clippers with no problem dies in 3 seconds. I am left at the rebuy screen for the second time this week and it's only Tuesday. I'm taking a break and going to play halo and wot until all the bugs are fixed bye.

Nope no warning nothing just pewpewpew your dead buy back your ship for all the money you have left.

I just wait for a pad to clear, and remain about 6.00km from the station until they grant the request. Coming too close to ANY station without docking permission will trigger the TRESPASS warning and they will fire on you. Its not a bug you encountered... You just pushed the limits to the security system employed at outposts.

Best to just wait for permission. It can take upwards of 5 minutes sometimes if it is a busy area.

I was still about 2 km out I waited 10min hell I left made a sandwich got some tea and let the dogs out came back still denied. I just learned something else I had about 10 delivery contracts and when you die you lose the cargo but not the contracts I had to cancel every one resulting in about 200k in fines I'm not made of cr I only have 200k cr because in the last 2 days I have lost 11.2 mil cr for buy backs 4.3 mil in income and 1.2 mil in cargo I'm broke.

How to dock at an outpost if an NPC is taking up a pad.

1. Target NPC occupying pad.
2. Hover over it - about 5 ship lengths.
3. Request docking clearance after NPC leaves.
4. Land like a boss.

You always get a pretty lengthy timer / warning before the station opens fire.

Plus, you're own fault you tried to do something dumb and push a docked npc.

Also, stations have a lot more guns than any of the in game ships do. Even a fully upgraded Anaconda cannot repel firepower of that magnitude.

Frontier had a serious problem with ships ramming @ docks, so I'm not surprised at the response from the station. Beware, space rage can be expensive. Just like finding parking on boxing day. I've seen a sweet looking elderly lady turn into El Diablo over a parking spot.....

As others have said, this doesn't sound like a bug at all. If the station hasn't granted you docking permission, then to try and clear the pad by ramming the other ship was a pretty dumb move.

You say you've lost 11.2m creds in buybacks these last few days? I've not even made that much in total yet! Maybe you need to modify how you play - ie, stop ramming ships at outposts!

The first buy back was me boosting into an asteroid with low hull (funny but expensive) .also this diamond back explorer was not docked but just floating near the pad.

The first time I ever lost a ship was when an Eagle was parked in my bay at an outpost. Not being fully aware of the repercussions at the time, I lost my patience and shot it

Edit: to clarify, I was given permission to land. But he was just sitting there (NPC)
