Really, really, really bored...

When I get bored playing ED... I stop playing ED and go play something else for a day or two. I don't keep 100+ games in my Steam library for nothing.

While reading along I saw that Eddy offered you a ship. Just curious about the technical part of such a transfer.
How are you going to do this? Drop some rares (quiet a lot of them, the equivalent of a L6) that you'll scoop up and sell?

Not rares, no. Just an expensive commodity like Palladium. Yep, the receiver definitely gets to hone his scooping skills :D

I understand where you are coming from.
I've not done much trading. Tried doing a rare trade run once, was a bit more interesting going somewhere else, rather than what I'd consider the back and forth grind.

The first problem you have is with the clipper. There isn't any content in the game yet that needs it. Just bought mine yesterday. I had one in beta so knew what I was in for.

If you have been spending all your time bounty hunting you will just smash all NPCs with one. Shouldn't be challenged anywhere except against actual players, which you are having a hard time seeing right now.

I'm down in Kappa Fornacia, its crazy how many players are here. Lots of traders have been going through now in the last week. The war is still going on, lots of assassinate federation general missions. Players in anacondas aren't rare, everyone (except me) seems to own a python. But vipers are what are just buzzing around.

There are Imperial systems nearby, its the busy part of the fed imp border. It also sells onionhead, one of the rare items, the galnet news says its all gone, but you can still buy it.

Trading wont save you, multiplayer (such as it is) is really all you have left to keep things interesting.

Here's a thread you might want to check out that I made the other day about the number of players here. No idea what was going on.

If you can't see players here I'd make sure you aren't going into solo mode :)

If your not seeing other players I can almost guarantee its related to upnp and your router.
There is a thread : https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=87388

Basically make your copy of elite listen on a specific port and port forward the same port on your router to your pc.
Or enable upnp on your router if you have it - though I prefer the specific port forward method.

I did this and it's made a world of difference. Gone from only seeing one or two players in three weeks since launch to often seeing 5-6 in a system in busy spots. And I play from NZ so my Timezone isn't exactly busy.
