Really stupid

Well, how about you gank a few lawless sidewinders and rake in the dough? You said you're in this since Beta 2 right? We get interdicted all the time. Go kill that pirate, get 500cr or more. If you do get killed by him, well, it was a free sidewinder anyway. Repeat until successful.

I too spawned in a system that couldn't give me a mission. Just went to the next system and on until I found somewhere that had a mission I could take. Made 7000cr on that one and made 8000cr from scan info from a system I flew into where just about everything was "unknown"

I decided to just hop to the next system constantly taking the mission from the board that was in my direction, after 2 and a half hours play I was many light years away from my starting point and 75000cr better off.

It was a hard start but it does progress....

No, it's actually far worse than that, it's beyond utterly and completely ridiculous. Not only did I spawn in station with no missions available, I did exactly what the fanboys on here posted, safe in the knowledge that it was fanaboyism, but hell let's give it a go. Anyway, flew around for a bit, completely aimlessly, went to a new system scanned a star... And wow! Unidentified signal source! Let's check that out... So flew over, and found barrels of 'trade data' (data doesn't even come in barrels in the 21st century, they mus have really poor hard drives in the future!) So, scooped it up until my cargo bay was full, and jetted off to the nearest space station. Arrive, wait around for about 10 minutes constantly being denied docking, then get scanned and handed a 6000 credit fine for illegal cargo... Really, really big design flaw if this is the starting experience. Had been a massive fan up until now...

So you picked up some stolen goods and were surprised that you got a fine when the authorities discovered it in your hold?
Why didn't you do what people said and go exploring for system information then sell it? All legal and quite profitable.

You didn't follow the instructions, you picked up cargo marked as stolen as well.

If you hadn't you could've just docked and sold it to cartographics.

If you keep getting docking denied then go into Solo (if in Open).

LOL. None of that is the game. It's all YOU. Unless you mean by design flaw that the game doesn't hold your hand and tell you 'Hey! That's illegal cargo you have there player. Are you sure you want to try and enter this station'.

Elite Dangerous is not a game you just pick up and play. Its a game you pick up and learn to play. If expectations are managed accordingly there are hours of good fun here.

Easy start for ppl is to get there eagle and sell it.
Now you have enough money to buy better equ or trade.

Go out and scan some stuff then sell it (guess why you don't have any of the data for nearby systems?). Kill some pirates. Do something....dangerous.

Yes , its a good idea to explore your first system. I got 11k credit for the datas exploring my first system I was spawned in. I was supprised. :)

I'm not going to even try and help and neither should anyone else.
Sit in your misery and rage.
When you learn some manners and stop insulting those trying to help you, and apologise, maybe you get some help.

Gamma is for tweaking problems like yours. Ticket it and make it go away.
Btw, your attitude is terrible and asking for not so pleasant replies from 'fanboys'. One might think that this was your intention all along. ;)

Took me an evening to figure it out and learn some new skills that i hadnt tried before like discovering new stuff which was vital as the only way to earn some money. Now ive done it, found and sold my eagle, got myself a DC and some extra cargo space and im up and running and on my way to a hauler. Well done ED and thanks for not holding my hand...

Funny when people say essentially "shut up fanboys" to anything they don't want to hear. It seems like a catch all statement, it belies the fact that they are only interested in their own opinion. I can't for the life of me think why you'd make a thread on an official forum, when you aren't remotely interested in talking to anyone. Its the equivalent of stamping your foot and having a tantrum and then puking all over the internet.
