Really?

Today i took several pirate missions on Robico, the ship should not be scanned...
After making 17 jumps to my final destination i got interrupted 12 times until i came close to the station.
The 13th time my game crashed, i came back in and all missions failed.

   ?????
Are you kidding me?
Its a huge load of that a player get interrupted 12 time before reaching one of the final destinations!!!!!
But then getting kicked out of the game and all missions are a fail is the worst i've ever seen. [down]

Congratulations for this rubbish.....

Stopped twelve times; did you take twelve smuggling missions?

You understand each "no scan" mission you take adds an interdiction component. More missions you take the more times you are going to have an interdiction. The game crash is unfortunate and as TJ says you can contact support, but Robigo runs have to be worked for to turn a profit. Stacking missions will mean more work and rightly so.

I'm assuming he got interdicted repeatedly by the same npc, which will happen even with just one mission. Another player who needs to learn to high wake out to another system and then back in to prevent an npc chain interdicting him I think.

The issue about a crash and then ending up scanned is obviously a separate one, that shouldn't happen regardless.

I read somewhere that there is a chance of being interdicted with any mission. (the odds)
If you take more than one mission then the chances stack up (the odds increase - it becomes more likely that you will be interdicted)
If you take many missions the the odds are stacked against you.

[ninja^ed]

When your game crashed, if you were being interdicted at the time, then the game on the server may only see that you logged out, in combat: So your ship would, perhaps, be still there for 15 seconds, during which time you may have been scanned.

Making Millions is not always easy.

The last words of the Buddha were, "All compounded things decay. Strive on with diligence."
(so they have been reported and translated)

Sounds like you submitted, then ran away, which causes constant interdictions which last until you either win the interdiction, or hi-wake out and back in which resets the system ship spawn.

Options next time:

1.Hi-wake to reset the instance.

2.Get close to the system's star - maximum fuel scooping rate close.
Turn so that you are facing away from the star, and our thrusters are facing the center of the star.

Most pursuing NPCs will E-stop into the sun and be removed from your instance.

3. Win the interdiction mini-game.

#2 Still doesn't work (for me) if it's a security force ship, pirates, yes.

I have noticed that as well. Pirates and the "hey follow me!" guys fall for it every time. Security sometimes seems to be able to still slip in behind. I chalked it up to doing a poor job on my part, though if you are noticing it as well...

Hehe, if i'm scooping and see red text, I haul Asp away from the sun, and await the interdiction, otherwise I'll park my rear towards the corona, and watch the pirate disappear.

Something I try to do if I'm interdicted near a star - Aim for it.

If I E-drop out of an interdiction into a star, I'm home free. No one drops in or follows me.

If I see red I think I'm going to just start aiming at the star, and get ready to floor it.

I think there has also been a sneeky change or two in the game...

Normally I would say just jump out of the system and back in until you can dodge the cops but after last nights trip I'm not so sure the old tactics are viable.

I did a long range run yesterday. When I was interdicted on the last drop off I submitted and shot at the cop to stop the scan then jumped out...$98,458.00 7day bounty. I let the mission fail and got a fine from the mission provider as well of $400k. Took me a while to find a place to sell the slaves.

It was about 160ly from Lave and from there I then picked up a string of great missions. The first was 1.2mill for 40tons of personal weapons to an outpost 34ly away, its a long time since I have seen such gems in the bubble.

On one or two missions I was interdicted by decent ships which jumped out after i had turned the tables on them, with only a couple of pulse lasers i couldn't finish em off before they slipped away.

Did you actually kill the person interdicting you? Coz they follow you back into supercruise if you don't, and interdict again and again.

Oh, now I see you weren't complaining about potatoes - you actually said 'spud' & 'bullspud'...I was going to regale you with an amusing anecdote about a particularly bad King Edward I had once....but err nevermind!

The more issues I see people have with mission stacking the more I think it wasn't meant to happen.

Stacking of the same type just seems to put some game mechanics into overdrive.

Either they need to reduce the impact of taking additional missions or restrict one mission per type.

So you are able to take the effort to gather 12 missions but can't be bothered to write a decent thread title?

I echo the sentiment of that thread title.

:D *chuckle* - as well.

Why? Its people's own fault for attracting the attention of half the galaxy. Being less greedy in hoarding whatever's available solves the perceived "problem" a lot more readily.
