The laws are far more lenient as regards the medicinal use of canabis. I have RRMS so its a subject very close to my heart and my initial reply didnt go down well at all ^

Ah yes Canada. I would LOVE to move to BC. Home to the deepest snow in the world. Perfect for practicing my most expensive addiction(and you won't be chased down by the law in helicopters like here in Norway for practicing it [big grin] ).

My first thought was base jumping actually but that looks even better. I think bj is legal up round yer neck of the woods? Been a few years Im outta touch nowadays ^

If I didnt have ms, Id love the mountain biking meself...not the namby pamby cross country either, Im a fan of freeride and downhill and canada was and still is a mecca fer bikers the world over. My initial answer went down like a lead balloon, so heres my best alternative...which hurts to write as it reminds me what I lost ^

What I'm trying to understand why it is necessary to speak French in Montreal if you want to work in IT.

You could build a server farm in the northern territory and not have any cooling issues! It really does look like Planet Hoth..

Most places yes(you wont see me jump though, to much of a wimp :D ). There are some spots(like Trollveggen) that has been made illegal to jump cause of fatalities and difficulties with rescue.

I always heard of stories like one place or another being too dangerous...thats like encouragement to an adrenaline junkie...do people not understand that part? Being illegal is half the thrill especially if ye get away with it which is why city centres are such a buzz. Ive never actually done it but its certainly on my bucket list...looks very cool indeed ^

Like you need more or any other reasons...

Ultimately it comes down to this.

Can I find a job that covers the cost of living and that utilizers my skillset. I am a social person so not looking for a hermit lifestyle. Montreal is where most IT jobs are. French is practically essential so I would have to learn that to a high standard to fully integrate.

I see no reason for you to move to Canada. How bout the US instead? Lots more opportunities, and you won't have to learn another language. ;)

The point being will I get a high skilled job as a non citizen. I think not.

Says someone from Sweden. The language makes no sense sorry.

The issue is about finding skilled work. Not going for a 2 week sight seeing trip.

The Shetland islands are equally scenic and remote and lacking in a developed economy but hey.. Details.
