Received bounty for killing Thargoid Scout??? WHAT GIVES??

I received bounties from Azimouth for alledgely shooting "Automated Defence Turrent".

I was killing scouts and I was no where near the megaship Oath of Tyndareus.

The nearest IF is 99ly

Anyone else get tagged?

What gives FDev??

Confused. Your title says you got the bounty for killing thargoid scouts?

You then state the bounty was for shooting automated defense turrets?

I doubt you would get a bounty for killing scouts.

Yes. I was shooting scouts and I earned bounties for shooting automated defense turrets.
Some kind of glitch.

There is a bug with the Alliance capital ship (the one launching missile salvos). You will get 'automated turret' fines as if you hit the megaship at regular intervals. These will add up over time and yes the closest interstellar that is usable is 90ly away.

I guess I ran foul of this too. My ship doesn't even have any guns fitted and was stationary at the Alliance capital ship the entire time (I was in camera suite filming) and I still ended up with an Azimuth bounty (which being killed, twice, once by Azimuth security themselves, hasn't cleared). Fingers crossed for the relog trick. This never happened to Kate Adie!

Kinda not surprised that a bounty is given upon shooting a THARGOID... reminds me of that Cone Sector Debacle...

You know, how dare you try and defend the Gnosis, here, have a bounty, and when we kill you, back to the bubble detention centre with you....

Fdev Never fail to impress me with their constant oversights...
