I went with Apple smart devices (I've seen WAY too many bricked Android phones thanks to malicious ads), but most mobile games tend to be Chris's platform. My favorite mobile games are:
Fallout Shelter - there are some elements, like exploring the wasteland, that take a long time, but mostly it's the kind of game where you can spend a little time in your Vault, keeping things running, and reasonably expect to jump right back into things weeks later if you want to. Except in Survival Mode. Many a Vault Dweller died permanently because I was in bed asleep, or playing Elite, when I should've recalled them. I still weep for my cyborg-pirate-ninja-Ghoul.
Plague Inc - most games can be finished in minutes, and there's nothing more fun that wiping out most of humanity.
FTL -just as good on mobile, as it is on PC.
