General / Off-Topic Recommend me another game to play?

What with all the nerfing/buffing etc. going on, I'm putting down ED for a while until I know what I'm actually working towards rather than trying to second guess the next update.

I'm a big fan of both the Battlefield series and Titanfall, both of which now have new games out I believe?

Can anyone specifically recommend either one over the other, and why?

I'm aware of that, I was playing BF3 during it's first weapons rebalance. Difference being that the changes were less drastic, there was only one play style (kill people), and certainly wasn't after I'd spent 700 hours getting to where I was.

If you have any input on the question I actually asked that would be great though.

Leaning towards Titanfall 2 after reading some reviews, I thought single player story was severely lacking in the first game, but from the sounds of it people quite like the story in their second attempt!

I dont know. I actually like it when games change and evolve. Forces you to re-think stuff, approach it in a different way. If everything stays forever the same the longevity is much lower. YMMV ofcourse.

Could be worth a look, I've played stuff like STALKER and Fallout series before. But never anything like The Witcher or Skyrim. The reason I was looking at Battfield/Titanfall was because they are games that are easily picked up and put down, I really don't want to get involved in another open world on my break from ED. :D

It is very likely that you will lose about 200 hours of your life in W3 :D
There were people who couldn't get into it, but once you're hooked you're done buddy)

Seeing good reviews fer titanfall2...Im playing a slightly older fps atm and lovin it...doom. Will try titanfall after xmas if things dont improve here although its easier to enjy ED when yer an explorer and far removed from the antics of the bubble.

Just spotted that CDKeys have Titanfall 2 on offer for £24.99 at the moment, SOLD!

Looking forward to taking a break from space and getting back to terrafirma!

Already have it m8...well...my daughter bought it but I dont start multiple games at once. Still play a little of this, but most nights now, its doom and will stay that way unttil I complete it on nightmare settings or FD get their finger out and do a trump on elite...make it great again.

12 hours of download left, looks like I'll be stuck with ED tonight. Fortunately my HOTAS arrived today so that will give me something to fiddle with.

I played every game in the entire Battlefield franchise, even the weird ones. From what I have seen of Battlefield One there is nothing there of interest for me and I predicted there would be a Battlefield One and described it just after BF4 came out. Thought I had been wrong when they released Hardline or whatever that is. BFOne didn't turn out the way I had imagined and the gameplay videos didn't look that great. IMO the Battlefield franchise started going downhill after the Desert Combat mod but I kept buying them. But I could be wrong, I generally play as a sniper/recon so my gameplay style is biased.
