I tried doing this before but immediately changed my mind when my launcher started to download the game again. did you experience this as well?
Are you running with a blank disk or do you have some files written on it? Does it affect performance in any way?
From the experience that I have on Earth, this anti radar disk works better with files on it. This is the catch ! Written disk has its surface scratched so radar rays get garbled and police can't read you space vehicle plate, they only bounce in all directions
