Recommended Home system Near Res zones

I've been away a couple of years so...

I'm sure this may have been asked B4 but anybody have any recommendations?

Would like it near High and Hazardous res zones. I'm pledges to Asling Duval if that makes a dif.

I do like Hunting I forget what it's call in the Power Play

I chose... Kou Hua
https://inara.cz/elite/starsystem/6319/
It has all 4 sites low - Haz. But for me if I have to park somewhere for a minute I usually try to put myself close to an area that has all 3 material traders close by. This system is the 'Manufactured'... 'Raw' is Clido Pi and 'Encoded' Chona. There are 2 other encoded and raw that list as slightly closer, but the station distance time is much further so they're actually much longer to travel to. Kou Hau is also run by player owned faction. I am not part of that faction but it looks like they have a lot of systems if you're into BGS. Also surrounding area looks pretty good for stacking missions... it's a pocket of systems all about 4-5 L/Y apart from each other.... Cubeo is 28 L/Y away for when you need to do your runs.... There is 1 Anarchy system within this little 5 L/Y bubble if you Have a Carrier (I almost always park my FC in an anarchy system right next to the system I'm using so I can just High-Wake to the sun where my carrier awaits instead of sitting in supercruise for 2-3k L/S back home (or to jump to neighbor star then back again to cut out the long supercruise). Anyway, Hope this helps. And if you do Mining, my FC is not the 'best' prices but is usually some of the highest buy prices in the areas I sit. My FC is here (at the star) if you want to see my buy prices....

(Edit) actually the player owned faction I mentioned is in one of the other nearby systems I was looking at... think I remember it was something like 15 star systems that they now control, that's pretty intense.

Oh, this is the Player owned faction I was thinking of... it's in the 'Encoded' material trader I mentioned, Chona.
And my mistake, they are actually running 48 star systems... Have 102 space stations... and 291 settlements.... Jeez that a lot of work. BGS not my thing, I don't have any in game friends, but it does seem pretty impressive what these guys and gals are doing.

There are heaps of systems with rings and RES. The better locations are the ones with pirate massacres which are a bit harder to find.

You can use this tool to find some multi system stacks if you trying to get like 10+ stacks at once... Just not sure if this is the work of 1 group/person, or if this is some type of app that can detect multiple system updates. Also not sure if there are any other sites that provide this kind of info, if you have any please share....

in this case, nearest Stack system with 2 or more source Star systems mission givers for the same target system is 39 LY's away.... This means you can get missions from multiple factions at multiple stations in multiple systems for one target.

(was on the phone... back to finish what I was saying....)
So in that system 39 LY away, if you click on the #2 in the Target/Sources column, It will show you that there are 12 factions (across 2 star systems) that give massacre missions to that one target system once you get ranked up with them... So that's a potential 12 mission stack. (but 3 of those factions are currently in 'Election' and that might be 1 of the 4 conditions where they don't have the massacre (like no massacre mission in state of 'War'... so you might be down to a 9 faction stack for now)

This very concept—that is, maintaining a useful set of systems for collecting and completing Massacre missions—is the primary focus of an upcoming INIV project which is excitingly close to launching. The concept, being brought to life by CMDR Vulkarius as we speak, is to track all faction activity and provide a report service which lists the prime locations based on your preferences.

To help with terminology, the Shop is the system from which Massacre missions can be collected, and the Arena is the nearby system where combat occurs.

Some of the top locations for today, 8th October 3308, are:
  • Lu Dongia has been the best shop for a few days now, having a starport at 53 Ls with 7 mission-bearing factions for the arena Nu-2 Columbae, which has a CNB and a hazardous RES at 337 Ls.
  • The best shop with Imperial factions is at HIP 19758 for arena Guan Yun, with 5/7 Imperial, and starport and hazardous RES at around 3000 Ls each. Ausrintini for HIP 22006 is also 5/7 Imperial with less total distance in Supercruise, but the Shop is just a small outpost.
  • If you really want to go out of your way to stack missions, you could try the double-shop of Copityar (starport) and Kumui (outpost), each for a hazardous RES arena at Ao Jung Mu, with a combined 12 factions.

All of those Arenas reside within the territory of the Empress, providing all bounty-hunters with a 20% claim value increase. Admittedly, at present I only have a prototype version which has been fixed to adhere to my Powerplay and Faction preferences; the wider project is much more versatile in that regard. For example, it is able to favour Arissa Lavigny-Duval and Yuri Grom equally, or use no Powerplay bias at all.

I'd be very happy to help beta test it!

When I'm not cruisin' in my FC I call LHS 20 home.

My original reason for picking LHS 20 was 'cos it's sort of in the middle of all the Engineers, which isn't quite so important now but it's still handy.
It's also a high-tech system so Ohm City has a wide variety of modules and there's a system next door (I forget what it's called) which has pretty-much everything that Ohm City doesn't have.
There's also an IF in a system next door and all 3 different types of mat' trader are nearby.
Also, LHS has a couple of ring-planets with RES zones and hotspots for spendy ores.

Also, also, Ohm City is 1000Ls from the star, which some people get irritated about but it means you don't get many scumbags hanging around because it's too far for them to bother to travel.

I'd be very happy to help beta test it!

@Hawkcode – Said utility turned out to be a couple of weeks away, but it is now ready!

INTRA search.png

You are invited to try INTRA for finding good pairs of systems, Shop and Arena. I made an announcement thread, so I will opt not to repeat myself too much here.

Given that the faction activity changes a lot, note that you may wish to invest in faction reputation for multiple Shop systems. When your existing "home" goes into a double-war and the factions are too busy destroying each other rather than the pirates, try using INTRA to find a new location!
