Recommended Laptop

Hi everyone,

I have the deluxe edition ordered, but unfortunately my CPU, RAM, and GPU on my current laptop are not high enough to play Planet Zoo. I need help/advice on a relatively cheap laptop that should run the game. My current computer is an HP (HP computers are all I've had in the past) but I'm willing to take suggestions on other brands. I doubt I'll get a new one in time to actually play the beta, but hopefully i can have a new one picked out by time the full game is released.

I know I've seen quite a few threads where people recommend desktop PC over laptops, but with my job that's just not possible. I'm constantly traveling and moving so if I got a desktop, I'd never be able to play the game, so please don't recommend a PC desktop. Thanks.

I bought an Acer Nitro 5 which was about $700. I had to upgrade my RAM as it only comes with 8gb, but it works pretty well. Graphics aren't amazing but it runs!

Thanks. Yeah I literally just need it to play planet zoo. My old laptop still runs perfectly fine, so I'm really trying to keep the price down since I still have a functional laptop.

I have an Acer Nitro 5 as well and the game works great even with the graphics set to "high". :) Bought this one in particular because it was cheaper and I'm a broke college student (lol) but it really does run games very well. I use mine for video editing too- Sony Vegas Pro nearly killed my old computer but I have no problems with this one. :D

Did you also have to upgrade the RAM?

My laptop also ran fine with just the 8gb, but I noticed that the more pieces I added in my zoo, the more it affected the quality. So you definitely don't need to upgrade the ram, it's just a personal preference.

Had the helios300 its a great thing for a laptop. Just loud as cooling is an issue logically. Just undervolt cpu and gpu and you are good to go. At least a 1060 should be in

2018 or 2019? The new model (2019) makes leaps and bounds in the cooling department, mine isn't that loud at all (quieter than a PS4 Pro).

18. really? Thats cool. Performance is teally good for a Laptop. You can get pc performance out of it still recommend undervolting it will live longer and safe power, less heat and noise.
