Records thread

I have come across a binary star system where the distance between the suns is over 220Kls - where do I check whether this is a record (I'm guessing its not but am curious)?

Thanks in advance

Edit: Orbital period of 2,149,548 days, Semi-major axis 382.13AU

Im not 100% sure but maybe EGO?

If you use EDDiscovery, you can link it to upload any possible records to EGO. Meaning, if it happens that you have some sort of record, EGO notices it and records it.
For example heres my "records"

Funny thing is, i didnt even know that that was a record of some sort.. :D

EDIT: link doesnt work correctly, but the record is from water worlds.

+1 Cmdr, EGO has the records and my system isn't even close!! But thanks for providing the link, at least I know where to look from now on..

A few days back I flew over 450ls to scan a AE/BE star :D - for no particular reason.

Anyway, EGO (as mentioned above) is the most dedicated records-register currently available (AFAIK). EDSM is working on overhauling its records section, which would have a much more data available than EGO currently has, so that's surely sth to keep looking fwd to. I also hope EDSM will separate the hand-authored systems from the procedurally generated ones; mixing those two up takes the fun out of many categories.

I found binaries nearly 600Kls apart on several occasions, 220 is far from being a record. But keep on looking! As for records, look in the Foundation thread, all databases are listed. EDSM also has a records page, but I don't think this parameter is listed there.

...and of course Proxima Centauri is nearly 7000kls from the main star. Make sure you've topped up that tank before leaving :p
