Recover mission not spawning target item

Nothing indicating a number that saw.
E-breaches are possible but kind of wasted on these. I use them to power up bases.
The value stuff found in the containers usually exceeds the cost of an e-breech by a significant amount. Net gain.

Many abandoned settlements have dead bodies lying around so ID can be cloned. Very often there is a L3 in the power centre.

Popping this back on my list.

I'm absolutely aware we've made tackle attempts at this over the course of some updates now, so let's have another dig into it.

To some extent the players will always be part of the QA and bughunting in a game. One can't hide the fact that we play the game tens of thousands hours per month, and we will find the most silly bugs and glitches. Of witch many probably are hard to replicate in-house.
But as it is now, and has been since the introduction and implementation of the Issue Tracker, is that most of the job is outsourced to the players. And worse, it feels like it quite often ends there, because of the popularity contest, and only the most broken bugs and features and most prominent errors gets fixed, and here and there the easy-to-fix minor bugs. Most of wich bugs are the ones we come across several times each play session, and really restricts playability and diminishes the fun of playing the game.
There are so many, several dozens, of gameplay/loop bugs that needs attention, and with absolutely no game industry knowledge, I am certain many of them are fairly straight forward to fix.*
And the fact that the bug department is on a complete standstill when you Sally are not around is a testament to the state-of-the-game, and it isn't painting a good picture.

I say this with all the love I can towards this game and everyone at Frontier Developments. And you Sally are simply the best!

*they're probably not, since then they would probably be fixed :D

I kind of agree, the bug reporting and fixing is IMO the biggest let down of the game..

I don't mind if some things are "badly" implemented (does not correspond to dreams.txt) or halfway efforts, but please fix the bugs, interact more with us over the issues, and please don't over write old bug fixes when you release a new version!

And please do something about the tissue racker! :D

But I must also note that every new release there are myriads of small things fixed which are not in the patch notes..

That is great news, Sally. Thanks so much. I know I see this problem be a common complaint with a lot of new players, so finally fixing it for good will go a long way in making sure Odyssey gives a good first impression.

Still exists - wasted 3 hours on two simple salvage missions where item did not appear. Tried relogging.
New to the game, didn't think a game this old would still have game breaking bugs in it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yeah, not exactly game breaking. Failing a mission is annoying but no big deal. It's not like a plot event not firing in an RPG. Or your ships constantly exploding. :sneaky:

And you may have to relog multiple times.

May well be a bug, I've had to abandon plenty of missions, buuuuuut....if it's a satellite, note the larger ones have 2 panels to check. The crashed ship find-the-item-in-a-box ones will sometimes spawn the item in a locked container so take e-breaches. And have a good look around to make sure you've found all the containers. It's always turned up eventually in my experience, without relogging.
