After a lot of weeks working on it, I can finally show the recreation Im making. If you are not familiar with it, DC Super Heroes World is one of the 5 themed zones at Parque Warner Madrid (formerly know as Warner Bros Park Madrid and Warner Bros Movie World Madrid), containing Metropolis and Gotham (yup, only Superman and Batman since 2002 when the park opened, although this year Justice League characters have been entertaining the area and next year a Justice League dark ride will be build). This first part of the thread will be showing the Metropolis part, that has 2 rides, a floorless B&M called Superman La Atraccion de Acero (Ride of Steel) and a topspin called Lex Luthor Invertatron (in this game I changed it for the Vertigo flatride as there is no topspin yet). The second part of the thread, when I continue building the zone, will be showing the entrance of the Gotham part (not all gotham, as theres a lot of flat rides still missing), that contains a typical inverted B&M, clone of of other various Batman coasters around the world, called Batman La Fuga (The Escape), where the special thing about it is its theming being placed in Arkham Asylum.
This project has been done with a mix of 2.1 version (mostly the buildings, that have a lot of advance rotation of scenery) and 2.3 for the final touches.
I need to say, doing a nearly perfect recreation of any theme park right now is super hard, as most of the scenery pieces are too big for their own good compared to the size of the guests, and it would have been impossible to do something as similar as the real thing as I wanted without the advanced rotation bug in 2.1 Thats why I ask Frontier for this important thing to return in Alpha3 or the future, but put into the game as an option and not a bug.
The coaster was done during the 2.1 days, and Im sure I would have done a better version with the better coaster tools that appeared with 2.3, but i didnt want to touch it again as I was already happy with it even if it wasnt perfect.
When both zones are finished I will make some videos going around the whole zone and POV of the coasters.
Lets start with some beauty shots:

The entrance, this looks nothing like the real one though. In the real park, you enter the zone from the Metropolis plaza, looking directly into the Daily Planet building where the Superman coaster is in. This entrance is places in one of the utility gates between Metropolis and Gotham. The best thing here is basically the Warner Bors logo I tried to make lol

A top view from the real entrance of DC Super Heroes World, the Metroplois plaza. The Plaza contain a fountain with the Superman logo, the Empire building to the left, housing a Ben & Jerry's store (here a cosmic cow), the Metropolis Store (the store and exit of Superman La Atraccion de Acero) next to the Empire, and to the right the Daily Planet, housing the entrance to Superman La Atraccion de Acero (you can see its lifthill behind it).

A streetview of the same plaza, this time showing better the Superman logo fountain. It was made by using the circle lights (the smallest piece of the game), pretty happy of the results.

Lex Corp Building, housing the queue area of Lex Luthor Invertraton. There no green pieces in the game, so I had to resort to the white walls, and using the green lights at night to give it a green hue to them. The tower was done with the green long signs and other various trick using different pieces.
And now into some comparison shots with the real thing:

That Superman of the ride logo was not something easy to make lol. Theres another one inside the store with another pose and in 3D that you will see in the next screens. The Daily Planet is probably one of the 1:1 buildings from the game to the real thing. The problem is that I had to mostly work with white, dark blue and a super light yellow for all the building walls of the whole area, so it was hard to create something super similar.

The Lex Corp building. Again the color problem. We really need the color pallet for every scenery piece pronto.

Lex Luthor Invertraton is here a Vertigo flatride instead of a topspin. It was choosen because both put you upside down, and the green color scheme Lex Luthor likes so much.

A comparison of the plaza taken from the street. You can see the Capitol better, and the buidlings of the left are only decoration (in the game and also the real park, as they are only the walls of one of the sides of the stage of the Police Academy show). They would have been the corner entrance of the real zone, but here theres only a wall.

A view from the Metropolis street. We really need tall thin trees in the game. Even the smaller ones right now are too big and take too much space. You can see the restrooms building to the left.

The Daily Planet Restaurant infron of Lex Luthor Invertraton.

The Daily Planet Restaurant has a terrace called the Ace Club, build with circle shapes. This was probably the most fun I had recreating the zone, and I love how the columns look. To the right you can see the garden with the entrance to the "balcony" where you can look the Superman and Batman Coasters from near.

The Metropolis store, a fairly easy facade to recreate.

And the store from the inside, you can see I tried making the Superman holding the rock lol The store is also the exit to the Superman coaster.

The queue entrance to Superman La Atracción de Acero. The photo from the right has some Man of Steel suits from the movie, but in normal days theres only a Superman sculpt (where I used Pirate King). You can see how I also have tried to meticulously the interiors of the buildings. Tried to create some art deco architecture by using various pieces from the modern theme. Really proud of the door and columns here.

The Daily Planet offices inside the queue. Tried to make something resembling computers on the cubicle desks.

Probably teh most famous part of the queue, the clocks with different time zones, Jimmy Olsen's desk in the center and Lois and Perry White's offices on the sides.

Once you exit the offices and printing room (done but I didnt take a screen of it) on the queue, you go into and ouiside area with the station (this was the first building I made from the whole area).

A screenshot from inside the station.

And another, you can see I tried to add as much details for the real thing as possible.

And the coaster itself. A floorless B&M placed in the middle of the desert, and according to coaster enthusiasts one of the best floorless of the world, thanks to it 7 inversions and a airtime bunnyhill instead of a midle brake run. Tried ot recreate also all the roads and desert vegetation. Again, we need more types of terrain colors, and hoping they are coming in the future.

And another shot from the other side. On the top of the sreen is where the future Batman coaster will be placed.
Hope you like it, when I finish th second part (Gotham) I will post more of this, and 2 videos, one for each coaster. Will also add a download to the park of course.
