Redirection of Cargo Delivery Missions broken?

So before I report this, Is this a bug or a feature? I take missions in my type 9, and almost every other time the mission locationo is changed. More often than not, it is redirecting me to a terminal I cannot dock at, meaning I cannot complete the contract. Surely if they have changed the terms, I should be free to cancel it without a fine. At the very least, perhaps the random generation of redirection events should take into account whether or not the pilots ship can dock at the station. It has happened many times now, and is just frustrating. :(

It is on the formal to do list of things to fix.

I've had 2 fail out of about 10 where the missions have redirected.

And about 16 out of 20 where they add a time limit of 0m :(

I was planning on switching out to a type 6 to transport them, as it is worth 1.6 million, however there is not enough cargo space in the stock type 6 to allow me to switch to, and the fine will be massive for this. So many millions lost.. To top it all off I lost some of the bonus to an apparent scan. I successfully avoided the scan and have no fine, but i still lose money. It is as if they don't even want people to bother with missions at all :/

ah yes that happened to me tonight, bug then.

I collected the whatever and it updated the drop off to an outpost, i'm in a big ship, doh. Quit mission, 30 mins wasted. again.

We should really be able to shift cargo from one ship to the other in a station, non?

I have an outstanding fine now of 4.5 million, I can only hope there is some way to petition Fdev to remove it, since it is caused by bugs. It's really frustrating, and is the worst experience I have ever had since I started playing in Beta. I am really enjoying other aspects of engineers and such, but now I see it is still only worth grinding the same trade route back and forward, and not taking a chance with the bugged minor faction mission system. I basically got 3 of these in a row, and the fines were horrific. At the very least, being able to transfer the cargo would have solved the issue, though I would not have agreed to take 144 tonnes of slaves to a random other location, especially if I have stacked missions. And the bonus, what a joke... 100,000 credit bonus to risk a 500,000 credit fine? You should be free to say No, dump the slaves in space, then turn around, take the person who offered you the mission and torch his face with a plasma beam. That is pretty much how angry I am right now.

Yarr, not a fan of being told to change my route either.
I think if they left the original delivery as allowed, but a bonus if you change the delivery it would be much better, fairer and far less frustrating and annoying.

You can. Not selectively and you have to have space for it all, but you can. No, it's not a good solution to being directed to somewhere too small for you to land.

I was going to do this, but no ship small enough to land at a terminal comes with a default bay big enough to transfer the cargo. Maybe a python does, but it is not reasonable or possible right now to spend 50 million credits to complete a mission worth 1.5 million... Also the random way in which it updates the mission is obnoxious at best. You can sit there for half an hour, or half a day for that matter, then as soon as you leave the station, it generates a random destination.

This is such an irritating 'feature' (i'd call it a bug), if FD want to totally put people off doing missions, this is a great way to go about it..

Please make it bloody optional with extra reward (if so chosen)!

This may be related, but I saw a video from a couple of days ago by a YouTube poster who had a "take this stuff there" mission redirected, went to the new destination, then couldn't see how to turn the cargo over. It wasn't in the missions menu of the destination station as far as he could tell.
The only thing I could think of when I watched it was, maybe one has to know what faction in particular to turn the cargo over to at the station (and maybe it's not the governing faction)?
