Reduce frequency of alt. missions?

Having played since missions were first added, I remember the first time a USS NPC offered me an alternative ending on one. It was a nice twist, providing greater variety I thought. However, it's now at the stage where every time I take on USS missions, I end up dropping into alt mission NPCs over and over. Just now, Looking for pirates, I've had 6 such encounters in a row, turning every mission in my list into multiple endings.

I still like the mechanism (though some of the alt descriptions could use work; I'd rather my "hunt pirate" missions weren't turned into "massacre authority" titles, as though I'd automatically accepted the proposed alt.). But can we turn down the RNG weighting on these encounters so that they become the exception rather than the norm?

Or do others prefer it the way it is?

Yeah they appear quite a lot

You can keep killing your original targets if you wish although it's not clear on the transactions tab, but sometimes it resets the target count to zero if you'd killed some of the original targets before you met the guy with the alternative offer.

Agree it's a good idea in principle but overused and badly done.

Make it less frequent and have them contact you directly not wait in the middle of nowhere, and it will be spot on.
