Reduced buy back should stay reduced until the current fight is over

ust an issue I noticed last night was playing multicrew with(noob) friend (who is never getting in my ship again) we was bounties hunting anyway my friend jumps in a fighter shoots the wrong person so the whole nav point starts shooting us just as my annaconda is about to blow up my Friend leaves so I die when it comes to insurance pay out I have to pay FULL costs frontier it's supposed to be a reduced buy back ..NOT PLAYING MULTICREW AGAIN #feelingrippedoff

I can understand your frustration. I have also been in a game with a so called 'friend' in a cooperative endeavour, most notably Destiny when attempting Raids. It's unbelievably irritating to have someone turn up claiming they are here to help, only to wait until the worst possible moment to abandon the run or hand their controller to a clueless five year old (true story). But what you cannot do, under any circumstances, is let it sully the rest of your experience with the activity in question. Just don't experience it with that person anymore.

Do I think Fdev could put in a failsafe against this sort of thing happening? Definitely.
Do I think they need to ensure that such a failsafe can't be abused? Also definitely.

But letting one bad experience ruin the entire addition for you will just make any safeguards they place completely redundant because the people those safeguards are protecting, aren't using the feature. :)

All I know is we was in a compromised nav point I scanned someone he was wanted so opened fire everything was ok until my "friend" got in the fighter all of a sudden we start getting hit HARD I look at the radar and EVERY ship was red and shooting at us nothing I could do was dead before I could even put my guns away..the rest is history

I understood that 'compromised' meant no security, maybe I am wrong.

This is a good argument for having NPC crew mates, because you just can't trust people to do exactly what you want them to do, all of the time.

I think players need to start blaming them self. Even the op made a major mistake.

Let take a look Op Anaconda + Noob = stupid move.

If you are playing with a NOOB buy a smaller ship that has 2 seats. Practice with them. See if they make mistakes. If they they are very good pilots. Go on your larger ships.

Instead of complaining about High rebuy cost because you made a mistake by having a noob crew member.

I think a better idea is make a Crewmember Rank system. So players can go ok he/she Harmless Go ok let me use small ship with two seat.

While i generally agree with the OP, I'm also highly confused how you managed to lose an Anaconda to anything but torpedo PvP attack.

I've managed to tank almost an entire nav beacon, from pirates, bounty hunters, security and PowerPlay targets all at the same time, while i casually murdered PowerPlay ships, with just 1800mj shields (45~% resistances), and that's a very lazy half modified PvE setup. Lol
If my shields got low, i simply low waked, unless an another Anaconda was mass locking me, then just high wake.

It's basically almost impossible to die in ED with the big ships unless you make pretty much every mistake possible. Lol

I've lost my Anaconda precisely 3 times.
Each one to station guns. Lol
(Mostly from landing on sentrys, or running in to smaller things too fast!)
