Reflections of Players Actions from Open to Group / Solo Request

However, a lot of the PvE players might not. For you it might be "easy mode" but that's just insulting elitism (no pun intended) to other players who don't find that.

Here's four players.

1. Fourteen year old autistic boy who loves space and wants to fly a spaceship and kill NPCs.
2. A mother who wants to play with her son (he can be 1. if you want, doesn't matter).
3. Experienced, hardcore PvP player who wants a challenging fight.
4. Casual gamer who wants a bit of a challenge but doesn't really have the time or the reflexes to compete with the likes of 3. but wants to enjoy the game anyway.

Please rank them in order of importance.

If the devs make the AI scale to players abilities with the odd overpowered and underpowered one here and there it's a non issue.

Currently they are scaled to the lowest player skill which sucks for a lot of players who would otherwise enjoy some pve.

My main point was scaling the AI in regards to community goals to make solo equivalent to open for them and not an easy mode which it currently is due to the lack of scaling AI and the simplicity of the AI and lacking piracy mechanics.

I remember reading at least one post from the Dev in charge of npc ai, where she said something along the lines of "you ain't seen nothing yet" and gave a maniacal laugh. We can live in hope.

There's no hope needed, as the AI is already there. MoP we witnessed some of it with NPC mini-bosses that literally shadowed a player's actions (it was crazy trying to get off 1 offensive spell in time before it laid out an AoE and/or stun).

The downside is though, when people ask for that level of interaction -- and it's released -- the players hide after learning they're not as predictable anymore (then come back when the nerfs come).

there isn t any kind of ordering to do, each player is valuable, but, definitivly, except for someone without 2 hand, NPC are TOO EASY in any way ! After you get a Viper / Cobra, you can't die in a PVE fight, you can alway run, or kill you target. NPC need a BIG BIG up to scale to Cmdrs skill ! And the game (and any game) can't be for everybody, dev need to make choices, and having a challenging game with dangerous NPC is the good choice !

So players with only one hand are not good enough to play? (I'm not sure you're getting the point yet but I don't want to spoil it for you.)

What about a player with 2 hands but who has arthritis? Visual impairment? What if someone is - and I don't wish this on anybody - just not as good as you? Can they all still be compared to you? I remember playing games with difficulty levels. Do they still makes those anymore?

Must I don't eat or drink because somewhere in the world people are dying of thirst or starvation ??? Are we players or Social Workers ???
And i don't talking about my skills, i m an average pilot and pvper, but in fact, after some gaming days, NPC are challenging for nobody, if you have some difficulty to kill any NPC with your Vulture/ FDL/ Python/ Clipper, you really have a problem...

That isn't what you are doing. What you are doing is saying "why are you starving when I have lots of food".

LOL no, But you are telling me, I must be happy to have unchallenging NPC, because some players haven't skill... I fact you want raise the difficulty of the game to scale with bad pilots. In any game, the point is about gain skill in order to success...

Where is my food ? There aren't NPC in the game who make me, or any other cmdrs afraid. All we re asking is to boost the NPC skill. May be not ALL NPC, but make them challenging and like an human cmdr. By this way, FD can make Solo and Open challenging and Dangerous, cause in fact, only Open with some human cmdrs is Dangerous, without them, and in solo/ pve group, the galaxy is really a safe zone. (when you have some playing days ofcourse)
