Horizons refueling anomaly

Hi guys

I'm a bit curious.

I was circling a star refuelling - as you do - when I remembered something that I had often wondered about.

Sometimes I would experience that I was fully refuelled in a matter of seconds when I should have used a LOT more time. "Whump, refuelling complete  I've only just started!"
This happened if I was out exploring, can't remember it happening in the bubble.
I tried several times to replicate the event but never succeeded. I never managed to establish a pattern ie a certain kind of star or if I flew through one of those magnetic loop thingies (you know the ones that become solar flares when they snap). So I never figured out whether it was a designed event or just some programming bug. Now it has been some time since it last happened, which might indicate it was a bug and we have after all had some updates.

But has anybody else experienced the same? Does anybody know why such an event would occur?

Depends on the jump range. There are some jumps that take barely any fuel. It happens often when you have a larger fuel scoop.

Well, yes. That was my first thought. But as I stated I reacted when it happened when I needed more time, you don't refuel in 2 seconds if you are at 50% for example. At least not with the scoops I was using on my ASPX and certainly not in my DBX. Hence my curiosity..........
